Normally, you are not into someone because you think they are into you. Or maybe girls are more likely to be into a guy only because he likes them. And if they are supposedly so repulsed by the guy that they didn't even give him a first date chance, why do they tell everyone the guy likes them and say with pride that they rejected him?

It's not that Ibam repulsed that it happens, but sad. Because they thought you wanted more while you did nothing flirty at all and he was a good person. And because he can't be around someone who he likes, he distances himself from you and you grow apart. It's a pity when that happens. Rejecting is never fun. Some 'friends' turn into demons after rejection, showing their true colors besides you being as respectful and considerate as possible. Whenever I meet a new guy, I hope it doesn't happen again.
But I am repulsed by guys shooting their shot besides knowing thag I am in a relationship.
Usually they are venting that a guy they don’t find attractive tried to initiate.
