If a girl chooses the machine next to you when there's open ones in sight does that mean anything (not jumping to conclusion I'm asking)?

Long story short I was working out on the treadmill and remind you there are a bunch of machines open, she got on the machine closest to me, I'm really not one to jump to conclusions and I haven't made a question in a while so I'm just throwing this into the wind id like to see what you all think. (Don't get me wrong she was beautiful, I was just concentrated on working out on top of that I'm really shy unless I'm approached kinda)

It’s hard to know if this first time meant something, kinda like when a car parks next to yours when there’s like a million other spots around, or someone sits right next you or table at an open seating restaurant with many other empty booths/tables lol. I’d say wait to see if she does it again and if so then it’s likely intentional and you should strike up a conversation maybe when you are both on your way out.

You are right but what I don't agree with is comparing treadmills to cars these are very much unique situations

Hmm, I don't know if I feel like it’s very unique, mainly because in any of these cases, regardless of the situation, that person is still choosing to take a space next you you when there are many others available. I think the only way it’s unique is if there’s intent behind it.

I would not assume one thing at all, no...

however, seems like an excellent chance to at least say "hey..." and, depending on her energy and vibes in the response... it could end up on a chatty treadmill season, lol
