Why should a guy ask a young woman's hand in marriage if women initiate divorce 80+% of the time, especially in western countries?

As a kid and into adult hood, I have an old school mentality of getting married. I'm not a guy who wants to play around. But today, I see more girls getting divorced. Using dating apps I see women in their 20s or 30s or 40s who are divorced with kids. I get why she would seek divorce if he cheats, he's lazy and not working, abusive, doesn't care about her anymore. However, if a guy works hard, earns money, sets a good example for the kids, there for her through thick and thin and she still contemplates divorce this is what worries me and good dudes out there who back off at the thought of marriage. I grew up with mostly girls and women in the family, two of my sisters are divorced but they admitted to me as a brother, they regret some of the things that happened in their marriages and wish they weren't so quick to judge or do things with some work involved.

I get every marriage varies, but please don't give the pro-typical female answer of "give me a break dude get over yourself! Women give signs before ending it", if she's not communicating any sadness or displeasure by acting like a hermit and giving a few words for an answer with a guy or man who truly cares about her, what's the point. I've worked with lawyers before and they have said we have seen an uptick in legal cases for divorce where it gets messy, judges usually award women more money. If marriage is only about making her happy and he has to suffer in silence and have his life ripped apart. I don't have any respect for people in this world who are that classless, manipulative, deceptive and money hungry. I know this question will garner hate but it only highlights that women don't care about a guy or man's feelings. This is why chivalry is dead with guys/men, and loyalty is dead with girls/women.

Let's also throw in that the LGBTQ+ pushes an agenda where guys and girls, men and women have an identity gender crisis issue. I don't have confidence? Well I have my own place, I pay my own bills, I play physical sports, I help out the community and I would be willing to help a country like Iran if World War 3 broke out. Im tired of the women today with bad morals. Understand something very clear here, us guys and men are sick and tired of women and girls calling guys trash while women and girls dont take accountability. I have given many girls chances but do you want to know how they all turned out, by her being rude. One girl called me a coward for not fighting in a war in Lebanon, one girl said im not husband material even though she's divorced and her ex husband cheated on her, one girl played games for 10 months and I said where is this going by text in a calm way and she flips out and cuts me off for good and her last words to me were F-U and why are all guys the same. As you read a few examples here I know you might assume Im the problem, that I don't listen. Nah, I will give respect, I will listen. I woke up and told myself, its not that those girls are better then me its that they are not right for me and my expectations in life. I would work 3 jobs for my wife so she has ease if I have to but she better be worth it if I am going to grind and bust my ass.

There are guys in this world where the hit gold with one girl or woman they had a crush on and get married, then there are guys like me who have tried and tried and tried and there's no formula. Like that girl who took 10 months and gave mixed signals then says I dont feel a vibe... You need 10 months to feel a vibe? My sister told me she's an idiot, she's clearly immature and doesn't know what she wants in life. It's not always the guy's fault. I'm not being Mr. Sexually aggressive, Mr. Cocky, or whatever. But I'm not going to entertain a girl by making her laugh and feel special while she's giving me one word answers, eventually i stop talking to girls like that because my time is valuable. I'm in grad school and working 2 jobs atm.

I’m sure that’s been frustrating for you. You being more marriage minded does make you unique. It’s a good thing, but Unfortunately, a lot of people (both women and men) are immature either mentally or emotionally. Many people marry before they’re ready and they don’t even realize it until it all falls apart. Anyone can walk down the aisle, but it’s not going to matter if either one isn’t fully competent and devoted to making the actual relationship work.

Sounds like you’ve met some girls who would fall into this immature category. Most people don’t get lucky right away. I’m highly skeptical of anyone who claims they’ve found “the one” after only dating a small handful of people. For most, it’s going to take several years of active dating seeking, dating, and self development before you have the relationship skills necessary and a shot in hell at making a marriage work.

that girl who was giving me mixed messages for 10 months and said our dates and talks were awesome and i was an awesome guy, stopped talking to me in mid October 2023, i find out she gets married in feb this year. I feel like messaging her and saying wth, whats the point of meeting me and talking to me for 10 months. That one stings. My mom and sisters were pissed at her behaviour.

Woman are like men. Everyone wants to feel safe and comfortable in their own home, they want to feel and give love. They want to be heard and often need to remember to listen. Relationships are give and take. They take effort on both sides. The people who don't understand this end up divorced. Simple as that.

But I think some guys get blinded by love and are "feelin lucky" so they ignore their brains and listen to their hearts instead. Sadly, the odds of their marriages being happy and lasting are increasingly small.
