Why do women never utilize their 5th amendment rights against a cop?

I challenge you to find me a video on the internet of a woman who encounters a cop or voluntarily gets "interviewed" by detectives and invokes her 5th amendment right and request a lawyer to be present, I will bet you dollars to donuts that you won't find any.

Women love to yap and they unknowingly corroborate with the police or detectives and that leads them to being charged with a crime even if they're innocent. Innocent people getting charged with a crime happens in the usa more often than you think, we have more prisoners and jailed people than any country because people don't know to not speak to cops voluntarily or invoke their 5th amendment right.

It makes me. want to become a cop after college just so I can take advantage of this and earn the county revenue and maybe even rise the ranks of being a police chief, all because people don't know or even care to know their rights thinking they can talk their way out of a police situation. Youtube is full of women who are 18 and over throwing a fit over getting arrested after voluntarily talking to the police and answering questions.

Good advice, but It isn't just women. I was trained to "get you to talk voluntarily".
50+ percent of people in prison are there simply because they don't know how to STFU. Either they didn't STFU when the cops started asking questions, or they told their friend about what they did and their friend talked to the cops. Most of them would've beat their charges if they has used the STFU doctrine. The only two things that should come out of your mouth when the police "just want to talk to you" is, "I invoke my fifth Amendment right to remain silent." and "I would like a court appointed attorney." It all starts when I walk up to the vehicle and ask, "How are you doing tonight, Sir?" Do you think I really give a shit how you're doing? Nope. That's called "positive positioning" to get you feeling cooperative so you'll talk.

My job as an interrogator wasn't to prove you didn't do it. My only objective was to get you to talk so I could develop reasonable suspicion and probable cause, then prove you did it (even if you didn't). No truer statement than "Anything you say can be used against you in court" has ever been said. I've convicted people who had weed in their vehicle just because when I asked them "where you coming from tonight, Sir" they said "From the pub up the street". That gave me reasonable suspicion for driving under the influence, then doing a vehicle inventory when I arrested them for DUI. If they had STFU, I would have never had probable cause to search their vehicle and would've never found their weed under the seat. And when the cop who pulls you over asks, "You don't mind if I search you vehicle do you?" the correct answer is always, "Yes I mind. I do not consent to a search." The next thing out of his mouth per the manual is going to be, "Well if you don't have anything illegal in your vehicle you shouldn't mind if I search you car." Don't let the cop guilt trip you into giving up your right. The correct answer is always, "I do not consent to a search of my vehicle and I invoke my fifth amendment right to remain silent, Officer." Be polite but firm. They are YOUR rights, and he can't take them away from you. But you can waive them and that's a stupid thing to do. At ANY TIME during a police encounter you have the right to ask, "Am I free to go or am I being detained?" If the cop says, "You aren't being detained" then tell him to have a nice evening and drive/walk away. If he says, "Yes, you're being detained" then shut the fuck up. The next person you talk to should be an attorney.

The cops will lie to you (that's legal), they'll try to scare you, they'll manipulate you. You can't outsmart a trained and experienced interrogator. No matter what the cops tell you, in America, you never have to talk to the cops. Ever. That's a Constitutional right. They'll tell you "it's going to look real bad for you if you don't cooperate" (lie), they'll tell you "If you cooperate you'll get a lesser charge" (lie), they play psych with you and tell you "If you haven't done anything wrong, then why won't you talk to me?" (guilt manipulation) they'll tell you, "If you just cooperate you'll be out of here in a few hours"
(lie). You will never ever "talk yourself out of a charge". Never.

And if you become a cop and don't play their game @alkasike, you won't be a cop for long, much less ever make Chief. Cops who don't play the game don't get promoted.

Just stay clean and the career is your jewel. Too many cops take the "little bribes" and do the "little favors" and before they know it they're taking the big bribes and doing the big favors. Those are the ones in prison. LOL

I loved it. Best job in the world so long as you stay straight and ignore the politics.

The only thing though is that I would miss smoking weed off duty unless I can find a way to bypass the drug test so I can secretly get high while off duty.

Polygraph and urine/follicle test might be a problem then.

You'd be surprised what people will say about you when they think you won't find out about it. I'd bet against you being able to hide or beat it. But if you stop using and be honest that you used to smoke, but don't anymore, that's probably OK. If you lie about it, it'll eventually come out one day.

Just be honest in your interviews and you'll be OK. Lots of stuff they will overlook, they know young guys are wild. But if you lie to them and they find out, your career is toast.

Because they aren't guilty of anything. I'm black and I've learned from white people that when dealing with police that if you are friendly, cooperative and honest you will not have a problem. I mean if I'm going or coming for work or off to some event we'll I'm not going add time to my day dragging shit out

It's not my time. I'm salaried. I get paid the same whether the guy I collar gets one charge of five.

See man, I'm the type of cop that feels like if a guy want's to smoke a little weed and he isn't out in public acting the fool or endangering people, then he ought to be able to smoke a little weed. But my State Legislature has decided that no amount of weed is legal to possess in my state. So if I pull you over on a traffic stop, and you don't STFU, and you give me PC to search your vehicle, then I have to arrest you for that roach I find in the ashtray, no matter how I feel about it personally. I don't have a choice. I raised my right hand and made a promise to uphold and enforce the laws the State Legislature passed. For me not to would be dishonoring my oath and not doing my job that I agreed to do and that the taxpayer is expecting me to do.

I got some buddies that are the opposite. They love the shit It gives them a hard on to jam people up over piddly shit. They brag and laugh about it all shift long. Some of them are shady, some are just punks. Some of them cross the line. Thing is you don't ever know if it's me that's pulling you over or one of my thug ass buddies. That's why you STFU if you're smart. I respect people more who politely STFU and are intelligent enough to know their rights than the idiots who just try to talk me out of a ticket or blah blah blah trying to justify their actions. Usually while they're blah blah blah'ing they're giving me RAS.

I like the ones who STFU. That way you get your ticket, we're done in a few minutes, and I can waste that time I woulda spent listening to blah blah blah at the convenient store trying to fuck the hot cashier. LOL

For the same reason they don't invoke their twelfth Amendment rights in that situation; it's not the least bit relevant. A police questioning is not a trial.

Actually it is de facto. Anything you tell me in interview after I've read you your rights, I'm going to testify to in court. All agencies video their interrogations now. That video is played in court. It's admissible evidence.

Admit to the cop you did it... then tell the jury your statement during the interview isn't a trial... see how that goes for you.
