Why are women desperate to believe that getting old for a man is the same as getting old for a woman?

Because it is. There’s absolutely no difference. The ones desperate to believe otherwise are men. You refuse to realize that you too are getting old and less attractive. You want to be delusional and believe men age like wine but the only people I’ve ever seen that statement come from are men. ”Women get old after 25/30”, ”women hit the wall”, ”nobody wants a woman after that age”, ”women age like milk, men age like wine” all of that bullshit. Every single person I’ve seen state this are men. Delusional men who refuse to accept reality. You lose your hair, get fat bodies with beer bellies, lose erection, get wrinkles, get lower testosterone, get less fertile and more likely to cause pregnancy complications and disorders in the baby because of sperm mutations, get bitter and stubborn, more likely to get sick, more likely to die sooner (and this even more likely than same aged women) and so on and on. You think your age isn’t the same as a womans age born the same year as you, make it make sense. You van’t because it doesn’t. ”Women can’t have kids anymore”, some can you age or if not they could freeze eggs or use donor eggs and get pregnsnt and have kids their entire lives. There are 70-year old women who gave birth to kids. And even more importantly you don’t even want kids anyway wtf. Men love to say well a womans fertility goes down (yeah mens do to as mentioned) and because of that her sexual market value gose down. You don’t even want kids! Men are out there acting like this is some big issue when they don’t even want to have children, women often have to beg for years and years before the man will maybe agree and he’ likely to only want 1-2 and say no to more even if she wants more. So the argument is so stupid and ridiculous. You also want to live in your delusional world and think women over 30 or 40 or whatever age you believe a woman is ”too old” isn’t getting hit on or can’t find a good partner. I know several women who were in their 30s, 40s and 50s when theh met their now hisbands and easily so. My 82 year old grandmother was given a same aged mans number when she was out and older men come up to talk to her all the time. My own mom was in her 50s when she met her fiance and he was the one who contacted her. Again, men and women both age and thar’s natural and a privalege. Not everyone get to age because they pass long before their time. Most people want, and end up with, a partner their own age and contrary to what you may believe women do not in general want ”old” men. They want someone their own age, maybe one or a few years older. ”Older man” doesn’t mean ”man my dads age”, which men seem to think, it just means ”older than me”. The average age difference between couples is something like 2 years.

@anonymous I see your confusion. You're attempting to claim men are "delusional" while simultaneously ignoring facts to the contrary. Men will take an older woman, they just won't choose them over a younger one. Also pregnancy complications are far more likely for women over 35 than men are any age, the fact that u would even make that argument is the definition of delusion. It makes sense to ever man that has been both 20 and 40 yro, very few men would trade their 40 yro old lives or women for the 20 yro version of themselves, while women at 40 are mostly invisible. For every 70 year old woman that has given birth there have been thousands of men thar age that have so yet another poor statement. Those women are getting "hit on for sex" and the value of the man "hitting on old woman is significantly lower than the men hitting on young women. The part that u like most women fail to understand is most men take what they can get so yes as a woman gets old they will still get attention, they just can't get it from high value men and they certainly can't get attention when competing w/ 20 somethings. You do realize that there are clubs in Vegas that don't allow access to old women but will gladly allow 40 year old men?

I answered your question "because it is" if you don't want to accept the truth that's on you. We might date guys that are older than us by like 5 years, that's normal. But most of us don't want 40-50 year olds and it's usually women around 25 would consider taking a 30 year old over a guy in his 20's well. The ones who do date older are usually gold diggers.

Everyone's prime is in their youth. Get over it. Older men don't have the same physical nor sexual stamina as a younger man either, that's just biology. Looks and energy levels decrease with age for human beings, on average. The only positive that increases in some cases is net worth. The only thing left to do is to age with grace.

Yeah guys can have kids in their older years, but most women have kids before they hit menopaus so who really cares. And if you don't want to experience ageism then don't be an ageist. I wouldn't feel entitled to something which I can't give myself. Most people want to grow old with their partners.

@OpinionOwner So you believe women desire older men. TY for sharing this. A women's prime is definitely in their youth as they are valued for their beauty. Men hit their prime around 40 - 60 that's why so many older men are able to attract younger women. I've had sex as both an younger and older man and obviously I have more stamina as an older man if for no other reason than the fact that I've had sex with a lot more women at 40 than 20. Sounds like your confusion comes from believing that women and men are valued for the same thing. Yes women have to try to have kids b4 they reach geriatric pregnancy, which is medically classified at 35. Men can have kids until the day they die.

because they rely on exceptions to the rule and generalize it to the norm

plus they use bad faith arguments by relying on the worse versions of same age men pitted against the best versions of same age women

plus male fertility vs female fertility isn't the same. men's sperm is constantly regenerating till the day he dies. women's eggs can not be replaced and are constantly decreasing over time

It was so much easier to date at 50 than 18. Once you have your life in order and are financially secure your options increase exponentially. Women have it tough because they are always competing with someone younger and there's no shortage of women who date older men
