Am I wrong for getting annoyed when my girlfriend ignores my messages?

I think ignore is a strong word, but I don't know what other word to use. Anyways, I always respond to her messages, even when I'm busy, and if I can't respond, I'll tell her that I'll talk to her later, out of courtesy. Is it wrong for me to feel a little annoyed if she doesn't return the same courtesy? by the way, I'm not expecting her always be available or to drop whatever she's doing to reply to me, but she can at least tell me that she's busy, and it would be enough

So I look at it a couple of ways. Yeah I think a coutesy from her just saying I'm busy isn't a lot to ask from her. That's just being a decent person. The other way I look at it is that if she is busy and has to stop all the time just to tell you she is would get annoying after a will. Plus maybe she is working under the assumption that if she doesn't answer you realize that means she is busy. I think really you need to talk to each other and come to some sort of compromise on how to handle that so neither of you is annoyed or upset.

No, I think you have a reason to feel annoyed. Your feelings are valid, as I mean it would be nice of her to let you know, like you said. Maybe have you tried explaining to her you'd appreciate if she showed you the same courtesy?

Ignoring as in she sees your messages but doesn't reply? Or she replies later? If it's the latter I think you shouldn't be annoyed not everyone is into texting. I hate texting. If I have something important to tell my Husband I usually call him.

So I actually have a unique view on this and not many people actually know this cuz this is the only true social media app I have that I use the most. Besides YouTube but I don't really but I have social medias but I don't use them I don't give my phone number out to people I don't text anyone I don't even call people.

There is too much weird stuff from people on social media as to where I stopped that a while ago and now I'm so used to like having almost no communication with people unless it's my brother or family.

Dropping whatever she is doing to reply to you is exactly what you are expecting. You just said you want her to tell you that she is busy. That is stopping what she is doing to reply to you.

Here’s the thing though: if she’s actually busy, she likely doesn’t have time to tell you she’s busy.

I get why you might feel annoyed, but unless it’s urgent (like you had to go to the hospital or something) she can just text you back later.

As long as she isn’t ignoring you for hours I think it’s fine. It often feels rude to tell people you’re busy because it feels dismissive. Try talking to your girlfriend to try to work this out yourselves.

I think talking about how you feel and what you expect might help.

If you know she's busy that time of the day, be that work or out with friends, I guess you wouldn't expect a quick response. But it works the other way around to..

I don't know, I'll message my partner and he'll ignore me, usually busy with work or taking a leak? I don't know. I don't get annoyed. He usually gets back to me when he wants, but he always gets back. Plus we live with each and are married.
