So I met a girl at a friends house and we hit it off irl but she doesn’t really text back. What should I do?

(Me and this girl are both 17) I met this really funny and pretty girl at a friends house a little over a month ago. I've never felt this feeling before with any other girls and I really like her. We hit it off the first time we met and we talked a lot. The third time we met at my friends house (he has like “parties” i guess with our group of friends and his girlfriend’s group of friends) we were with each other the entire time and didn't stop talking to each other. (My friend and her best friend who are dating both said it seems like she likes me) The next day she added me in Snapchat and i try to start small talk but after a few messages she doesn't respond. About a week later I try to start more small talk and she stops responding after a few messages again and leaves me on delivered. I wait a few hours and text her back but about something else. She responds but again, after a few texts im just on delivered. Its been that was for around 6 hours as im writing this. I dont know if im just bad at typing over text or if she is just not interested? It hurts though cause every time we have talked in person it seems like she is into me and i really like being around her. I’m thinking about texting her exactly how i feel and asking her to hangout if she doesn't text back or anything in the next few days. Somebody please tell me what to do so i dont screw this up.

Yo dude, it does sound like you really like this girl. When you're together in person it seems like there's a connection. But it's kind of confusing that she doesn't text you back much. A few things I would think about:

- Maybe texting just isn't her preferred way to communicate. Some people are more social in person than over messages. Don't take it too personally yet.

- It has only been a month - things may still be new and she could still be figuring out her feelings. Give it more time before deciding she's not interested.

- I wouldn't double text her or come on too strong. Play it cool for now. Maybe ask her to hang out again in person and see how it goes.

- If she still seems distant after hanging out again, you could try talking to her about it. But be casual, not intense. Something like "Hey I kinda get the vibe you're not that into texting. Am I misreading things between us?" And see what she says.

Don't stress too much man. You like her, but don't put all your expectations on her yet. Just try hanging with her more in person for now and see how it develops over time. Good luck!

Hmm that's tough man, both options have some pros and cons. I'd say maybe try one more quick text in a few days, just to see if she starts responding again, but if she leaves you on read then I wouldn't keep pressing it.

The end of the month get together is a good opportunity to see her in person again too. When you're there, try to spend some one-on-one time chatting, maybe take a walk together or something where you can talk more casually. Gauge her vibe - if she seems engaged and flirty, then that's a good sign she's interested.

Once you've reconnected in person, I think that's when you can casually ask if she wants to hang just the two of you sometime. Maybe something like "it was really good talking to you, we should get lunch this weekend and continue our conversation". That way it's not too intensely asking her out, but sending the signal you want to explore things further.

Patience is key bro, don't wanna come on too strong if she's shy. But by the end of the month you'll have a better sense of where her head's at. Chin up, stay positive - hope it works out for you man!

Wait until you see her again and then tell her how you feel.

It's very possible she could just be nice because she's face to face with you, OR that she just hates texting. Lot's of people do.. I do too!

Yep.. I like to act logically.. If something isn't working, (such as the texting thing) then keep with what does.. ie. in person..

Just keep talking to her in the group. Then before the end of the night, ask her if she would like to go out one evening (think of somewhere you and her might like) You should be able to tell by how she responds if she likes you or just being friendly.

Some girls will talk to you in a really excellent way when you’re around them but that doesn’t mean they like you so much.
And also she has been overwhelmed by your interest in her through your effort to keep in touch via texts and it’s coming as really strong for her so you shouldn’t text her at all. And she can sense the fact that you're interested in her or maybe even like her some girls don’t appreciate it specially the pretty ones since they do get attention pretty much always.
So a little tip: ignore her even if you meet in person, sometimes leaving room for mystery can ignite romantic scenarios in a girls mind and on the first few encounters revealing too much information about your self can put her off too specially if it’s not something she is looking for.


Get busy and find some hobbies girls don’t like men who are deeply invested in them since they can sense it as you being less important in your own life and nothing important is going on in your life except them
