I wouldn't recommend being deliberately vague or secretive about your age. Here are a few things to consider:
- It can come across as dishonest or misleading if you refuse to give a basic fact about yourself when asked directly. Honesty and open communication are usually best in any relationship.
- Some girls might find it intriguing at first because it leaves things to the imagination. But long-term they'll want to know basic things about you to feel comfortable and determine compatibility.
- Avoiding the question could make it seem like you have something to hide or are ashamed of your real age. That would make a bad impression.
- The age gap matters more the older you both get. A high school girl may not care as much about a year or two difference vs someone in their 20s.
My advice would be just to give your age with confidence when asked. You have nothing to hide. If she likes you, your age alone won't matter. But being coy or secretive about it risks coming across untrustworthy or immature in the long run. Playful teasing is one thing, but honesty is usually the best policy with someone you want to get to know. Make sense?
