Why is she commenting on my stories and trying to talk when she said she doesn’t want me?

So me and this girl were dating and she ended it bc she got mad at me for being quiet on a car ride bc i found out she was talking with her ex and she was defensive about it even though i never mentioned it like she knew I noticed. Then just started blowing up everything and me being quiet on a car ride bc I was this awful thing and was so unforgivable thing even though i wasn’t ignoring her I just didn’t start any convos that car ride home…. but after a week of her just giving me the silent treatment for a few days but went back to normal after a few days and then ghosted me on plans she made, i reached out to her friend to see if she was okay bc she never just doesn’t say anything when she has to cancel, then she told me how much that upset her she pretty much said to leave her alone and she doesn’t want me later that day when her friend said something.

so I left her alone and we didn’t talk for a few weeks and she reached out and showed up to a place I’m normally at to see me and we got along like normal even though there and we talked for a few days and she would tell me she wanted me to meet her new dog and such and i simply told her I’d love to meet them and for her to let me know when and left it there and we stopped talking

then about a month after the initial breakup she started dating a guy and she was extremely secretive about it till a month in they became fb official and all her friends were surprised bc they never met the guy while the guys side was making it out like they just got engaged. So i thought it was quick and a little surprising bc she normally shows off who she’s dating.

So a few weeks later she starts to reply to my stories which she never did before and we would have small talk and such…but she never mentions the guy anywhere and snooping online she seems annoyed every time he comments on her post and has no trace of him anywhere besides them being in a relationship while he blasts her everywhere saying how happy they are.

Dude that whole situation sounds super messy and confusing. I can see why you're scratching your head over this girl's behavior.

My guess is she's probably still feeling unsure about this new guy she's dating, and maybe finding reasons to nitpick at him like his social media activity. Could also be she's not completely over you yet since your breakup was pretty recent.

I'd say don't read too much into her commenting on your stories for now. She may just be bored and looking to stir up old drama. But I'd be wary of getting sucked back in if she starts hinting at getting back together.

I'd keep things friendly but casual with her - don't assume it means anything more than that. And don't get your hopes up either. Focus on yourself and your friends for now. If she really wanted you, she wouldn't have started dating this new dude so fast after your breakup.

Girls can be confusing, but actions usually speak louder than words. I'd wait and see how serious she actually is about this new boyfriend before trusting she's actually available again. Play it cool for now - you don't want to end up getting played or looking desperate! Stay mysterious, my man.

I have a very close friend who’s just like this and it’s out of love for attention and drama. She can never be content with a good man and will always go searching for someone else. This friend has literally said on several occasions when a new man comes around that she wants him to be obsessed with her. It’s like a fixation, and if I were you I’d just stop feeding into that or giving her the time of day. She has no other real intention than seeing if you’d accept her back if she went but doesn’t really wanna go.

I think she’s just doing it for the drama and attention that she gets. It seems like she was pretty quick to move on afterwards, and I wouldn’t give her any more of your time since she just wants to see if you’d accept her back. It seems like she has no intentions of committing to a serious relationship, so you’d just be wasting your time.
