some people need to feel physical contact and it doesn't go sexual... I have such a friend who literally wraps himself around me :D

it's still just a friendship and watching movies with him is super comfortable :D

I don't see an issue with that, although it depends on the person.
For me, I have many good friendships with guys and I'm the type who is touchy touchy as I'm always free and comfy around my friends.
My friends would still be good friends even without physical touch, but it's unlikely for me to have a friend who don't touch me due to my personality.

I'd like to believe that they can, but I also think it's strange that so many men are incapable of befriending women they're not attracted to.

I think its very important for man and woman to not have physical contact in friendship because physical contact can really ruin a friendship. Men will want you more and more if you let them touch you too much.

Touching women is haram so you should avoid it and just read qoran all day and do namaz. You're not allowed to listen to music, be friends with women or watch movies. Just do namaaz all day :D
