Is there actually any difference in men and womens dating behavior?

If you take away the fact that most women have more options and can be more picky, it seems like there's no difference. If a guy is attractive enough women will behave like men. They will message him first, pursue him, put up with bad behavior, turn things sexual quickly, send unsolicited nudes, even give unwanted attention/ turn into stalkers and take rejection very poorly etc.

What's your opinion?

In the way you described it you're right. Women are more "shallow" if that's what you want to call it. It's not that women haven't always been this way to degree (though I do think it has intensified now). But for generations women have had to rely on a man for everything. When she turned 18 getting a job wasn't really an option for her. At least not a "career" job. So getting married was a dream that was forced by society on women. Now women are free to make any choice they want and makes as many bad ones as they want. And they do. Part of it is thier lack of rationality. Women still are primarily ruled by thier emotions. And this is why I started this post the way I did. Because this is where men and women differ. Yes, men and women are moved by PHYSICAL attraction. But women are also controlled by there emotions. A better way to put this is with each successive generation women are evolving to become more masculine. And a lot of it is societal and upbringing. a lot of the women today are promiscuous because they've had promiscuous mothers. They simply do not know what a commitment is. Because as I said they're a slave to thier emotions. They see a hot guy and they're drawn to whatever they're immature mind tells them what makes him a good partner. Not realizing thier entire belief structure is wrong. These women want commitment they will just never find it because they'll always be drawn to the opposite of what they seek. It's kind of a Greek tragedy when you think about it.😆

Some women can even be worse than men when it comes to bad behavior (stalking, aggressively hitting on a man, taking rejection poorly). Reason being is society doesn’t assume women are a threat. They get a lot more more leeway than men. They only have to worry about other women chastising them (which is less common) vs men calling them out. Men who display bad behavior get called out by BOTH men and women and usually much more harshly.

I’ve had women do all the bad behavior to me above when I was younger. It was rare but it did happen.

Women tend to be more careful at who they start a serious relationship with than guys because women have much more of a risk. They want a family, kids, etc. and being pregnant is definitely more of a toll on them. There is more at stake.

Not to say all women are smarter and more punctual than men when it comes to dating, just that there is more at stake so therefore they’ll lean towards making the right choice for a long successful relationship.

Yes, obviously there are differences. Men and women are not the same, and we are not interchangeable. There are always exceptions to every rule, but in general… Men and women are not the same, and our behavior in dating is not the same. Just look at waiting to have sex other than some very religious men, I've never dated a guy that wanted to wait. Let's say six months to make sure that we have a solid secure relationship and fully trust each other before having sex. But I know a lot of women who feel that way. We're just different, and that's actually is a realy good thing!

A lot of what you're describing just sounds like desperation, which to be fair is expressed very similarly by men and women. On the other hand, emotions like anger are expressed very differently by men and women.

An angry woman will trash your things as well as your reputation to anyone she can get to listen to her regardless of whether they are best friends or complete strangers. An angry man will internalize the trauma and get physical with anything in his path (weights, people, walls)

Not every emotion is processed the same way by men and women and for that reason I don't believe, at least behaviorally that we are the same

in my opinion if you dropped men's libido to the level of women, it would equalize things really quickly. The actual impact is unclear to me though. Would men join women in mostly attempting to get with people above their league (and failing). Or would everyone stabilize and be happy going for someone on their level?

Realistically it would probably end up like Japan and their abysmal birth rate.

That is sometimes true, but overall, just in my experience, women have been more interested in seeking commitment than men. Most men, again in my experience, are fine with dating for years without thinking about marriage.

Yes, I believe so. It remains that women are passive no matter what, except for very rare cases which are the exception to the rule. Even if she REALLY likes a guy, she'll literally die before she makes her attraction known to him.

I have not acted in that way towards the people I was attracted to. Sexual intercourse is not everyone's priority even if they are attracted to someone. I personally want to have a serious relationship before having sex.
