Do you think there is still value in women behaving like ladies, or is this a very much antiquated notion of how women should act around men.

This question was inspired by a similar one about men being gentlemen.

The idea of a “gentleman” and “lady” heavily revolve around the concept of honor as it relates to gendered constructs. Most of western society currently focuses more on the concept of justice over honor because there can be a great number of injustices created in the name of preserving honor, such as punishing your daughter for going on an unapproved date, or punishing your son for not displaying manly behavior. It’s not necessarily a bad thing to be honorable, but if you wish to preserve honor or the presentation of honor over the need for justice and ultimate desire for good then it’s obviously a problem.

All depends on how you define "being a lady".

I still dress nicely, I love being a Mom. I take care of my man and my family.

At the same time, I'm also into sports and fitness, work as an engineer too.

I generally dress nicely most of the time... Business like, going to work, but still nice when casual..

I rarely, if ever swear and, I was far from promiscuous !!! I've only been with 4 men during my whole lifetime and I'm married to #4
