My wife loves shopping! Mostly just looking which is nice but she won't take a day and do the needed chores around the house.
Weekend comes and I'm the one awake early cleaning taking care of things. She wakes up late and just wants to go shopping! 🛍️
We both work full time and it feels like I'm the only one who cares to even try to do chores besides laundry. She will do that for the outfit she wants.

See here’s my situation. I’m older than my profile says but I don't know how to change it. I’m 38 my boyfriend is 10 years younger. We both work full time. I have 2 older teens from a previous relationship. I earn way more than him. Only my name is on the house. I pay all the bills he buys all the food.
My job is both mentally and physically draining. I get home from work and I’m so tired. He on the other hand is young and is not. He does the chores because he just has more energy. I’m not gonna lie I do big jobs. I like DIY and deep cleaning. Every so often I will do a huge deep clean and I will normally have a DIY project on the go. All I ask him to do is a big clean weekly. Usually so we can enjoy our days off together.
It’s not about both working full time it’s about other things like age, type of jobs or it could be something else like her health. I deal with questions flying at me all day while running around a large building. Imagine being on a treadmill in a job interview for 10 hours a day vs him sitting down and working alone all day. So ye he does do more chores and it is what it is
I did and she says it's more mental and I make her happy just being there. while she sits on her phone scrolling Facebook waiting for her shopping.
That is a lot of work and makes sense why he does more chores. But you have things going on at home and teens. She does not have much going on... No kids right now and not any dyi projects.
Strangely she also only wants me after grocery shopping or clothes shopping?
Some reason it's that much of a release for her. Picking clothes she will only wear twice and keep in our 4 closets.
I've been married for over 20 years and my husband still won't help much with chores. It's as if he doesn't see the mess. I've tried energy option in your list. Option A (bargains) seems to be the closest. Mine is that I'll cook him his favorite meal of he gets something done that I have been needing for a long time. If not, it'll be canned soup all week. 👿
