Why do clingy girls suddenly turn extreme independent?

She was extremely independent when we met. So much so she didn't need anyone.

And WHEN she FELT my need in her life, she fell in love with me. Extremely clingy with no breathing room. It was exhausting. She asked me to help her do things that she was extremely capable of doing herself. But she wouldn't ask anyone else for the same. Also in case of things that she needed my help, I didn't help her and plainly said NO.

We split. Met accidentally, she didn't bother to even look at me or say Hi.

Worst, we see each other everyday now. She wouldn't ask for my help even if she knows I can be the only one who can help her. Her personality shifted fully.

Let me answer your question, At first when you met that girl you were a stranger to her so she was careful around you and at some point with time she’s gotten used to your existence and in the female nature she’d feel safe so she started loving you. Women love men differently, they love when their needs are met but men love to meet their needs. When she fell in love with you that’s when things changed because that woman that you’re talking about being “clingy” that’s the female nature she’d want you to do things for her not because she’s not able to do it but because that’s how she feels loved. In your situation you didn’t reciprocate the same feeling so you could see her love and affection as being needy so you neglected her love and you made her grow dry. So now when you come and look at her soul you would see the abyss. You’re not even there anymore buddy she’s long gone.
