Why do you think so many women today appear to be unrealistic about income?

Now before anyone gets triggered about this question. Understand that this question makes assumptions gleaned from my own experiences from not only G@G but from across the internet. So this was not pulled out of the ether nor does this question put all women in the same box. This is just a generalization.

So, let's get started. A quick search says the median income in the United States is 37,585 (source U. S. Census 2022). Now I've read many YOUNG women cite 50k on here as a bottom figure that a young man has to make for her to consider him as future partner material with her. And I can understand with the cost schooling today/massive student loan debt why some women would have a "wish list". But there's a difference between a wish list and an expectation. The question I have is knowing that this number is more than 33% higher than the median income, why do so many women seem to expect it from a guy who on top of that is probably at his age entry level and might not even make that?

I'm just wondering do you think a lot of women are out of touch with a man's opportunity to generate income today. Keep in mind women compete with men for said jobs reducing their income opportunities all the more. What do you think is the cause of this?
