Girls why do you whine and complain all day before a event you have really looked forward to?

Wife looked forward to her bestys baby shower for months and on the day she was sad and nearly depressed saying she did not want to go. She always does this before and event she really looks forward to!

I'd like to know how you guys make generalizations like it applies to all girls/women just because your whiney wife annoyed you. I don't complain about things that I look forward to... ever. If I'm looking forward to something no matter what it is I'm excited all the way up until getting to do said event. I don't complain or whine. Sounds like your wife might have some sort of depression or something that needs to be diagnosed by a professional... certainly not people from this website. The problem is that too many people on here (girls AND guys) make these assumptions that just because of their own personal experiences it applies to everyone. Anyone that has friends, family, etc know that what you say about women is mostly untrue outside of some really miserable people.

Cause if you don't generalize no one reads it. Kinda agree but also hear other guys complain about this.
Big day of something and the wifey is in a terrible mood and not happy till after. Then usually she is sad it's over and she did not get enough pictures for Instagram.

I can totally relate. I accept RSVPs and then comes the day of and I have no desire to go and trying to think of ways to get out of it! In my case it's my social anxiety and PTSD. Yet when I get there I have a great time.
