My girlfriend is mad because she says I don't compliment her enough?

She was moody and when I asked what's up her butt she said I don't compliment her enough. After listenting her a bit I realized it was all her, her, her. And I asked her when was the last time she complimented me. And she told me I'm a guy I don't need compliments. That she's with me that should be compliment enough. Do women really believe this? Look as a guy I've just accepted women don't compliment men. So why does she think I have to constantly stroke her ego?

Relationships are a two-way street. If she wants you to build her up with words, she needs to put in the same effort for you too. Everyone likes feeling appreciated by their partner sometimes, no matter their gender.

You can improve your value in her eyes, submit and prove her right, or carry on like nothing ever happened. The first option would probably make both of you happier though. A lot of modern women have that entitled mentality where they're nothing but a pain in the ass to deal with all day and expect you to just be overjoyed to have the privilege of being with them at all. I think she was trying to tell me that she wouldn't be with me if she dig me. But that's the point! By the same token shouldn't the same go for me with her? Why do I have to constantly build her up from time to time? I don't ask her to do that for me? If I wanted another woman I wouldn't be with her.
