Why does my girlfriend not like me getting compliments?

I get compliments from guys sometimes when we are out like on my dress sense etc. there was a night we went out for dinner and drinks and it happened a couple of times. An older woman said to me how great I looked too 😆 (she was like 70!) but my girlfriend tries to brush them off saying they’re drunk or something. It’s like she doesn’t want me to get any compliments from anyone no matter who they are!

You should definitely talk to her about this. Guys crave validation just as much as girls do. I'd understand if she got upset about other girls complimenting you (because she could view them as a threat), but compliments from other guys and elderly should not bother her. You should ask her about it and explain how you feel. Maybe she doesn't realize she's doing that, or maybe there's something deeper going on. Either way, if it bothers you enough to post it on the internet, you should be able to bring it up to your partner. Otherwise, you may end up becoming resentful and hurting your relationship. In conclusion, just talk to your girlfriend about it :)

Who the hell gets jealous of random strangers when it’s not even girls? I don’t get it at all. I did wonder if she may be insecure
