We were something sometime ago. It didn't go well due to ky behaviour. I was toxic too her to the point it crushed her heart and took the women out of her. She was clingy and pushing me for a commitment. I had to gaslight her to get my shit together.
Now we work together. She is super humble, smile and talk to everyone but me. She barely talks to me or acknowledge me. She is not obliged since we work on different projects. But it breaks a piece in me to see she doesn't look at me, talk to me or smile. She acts like I don't exist. She is very sweet and friendly to all but me. doesn't even loom at me when I eat my lunch alone.
On the flip side, she is always surrounded by people. Most men try to woo her while women are jealous. She is just her self, with a great sense of humour and surprisingly many men take it while women keep distance. Also I have seen some old men trying to bitch or keep distance from her thinking she is seductress, but she is an introvert just minding her own business, learning and growing.
If I text her on WhatsApp she takes months and days to respond with one liners and always avoid my question of if she is single. But texts me without the slightest delay on work application with formal language. Even when I bump into her outside work, she avoids looking at me.

Women are generally envious... considering she is good looking, work out and has the best body, has a sense of style. I have seen women talk about her work wear and shoes a lot. Especially how she effortlessly carries the 4 inch stilletoes.
Men appreciate that but simply laughs at her jokes. Also she gives the boss babe vibe with her easy going but introverted personality.

That’s how I acted around my crush when I found out he was married with kids. He lied to me… told me he wasn’t married.. he’s also Muslim.. then I started to act avoidant around him, avoided eye contact and pretty much acted like he didn’t exist and completely shut down… we worked together so my behavior changed a complete 360.. and at first he was depressed I wasn’t giving him any attention anymore then he became very mean to me.. very jealous and possessive with anyone I gave attention to.. I still talked to him but kept it professional.. then he started to go out and party a lot and would brag and bloat about the new girl he was seeing. He’s a mess
