There is a girl that I liked since freshman year of college. She's probably the prettiest girl I've ever seen. Not only that, she's really smart, funny, and nice. I was friends with her and was planning on pursuing her; however, there were rumors around campus about her being a slut who slept with more than 8 boys. I don't like girls who randomly hook up with a bunch of guys. Because I believed in the rumors, I started telling my best friends to let other guys know not to approach her. I don't want any guys to be played by this girl. Due to the rumors, she lost friends and no guys were interested in her. However, now as a junior, it turned out that the rumors were false. The ones spreading them were girls who were jealous of her, and they were severely punished. I feel really bad about what I did! She found out that I was the one who told most of the guys to not approach her, since she was a troublemaker. Since those rumors were not true, I really want to ask her out. Apparently, many guys have been trying to ask her out. However, she rejected all of them saying that she was focused more on her studies and career. It sounds like she wants to be single. I really like her! How do I get her to become interested in me?
