Why do women carry purses? Do they just have more stuff than men?

The reason why I wouldn't carry a price is because everything I need I have on me. Clothes wallet. Car keys? Why would anybody need a purse?

I like to carry one; I have a lot of stuff. Hand sanitiser, hair comb, breath spray, lip balm and lipstick, wallet, keys, tampons, hand lotion, painkillers in case I develop a headache while out, two perfume pens, dental floss, a nail filer, etc.

I think it stems from a time where women had to always maintain a certain level so buttons being on the left hand side are there for somebody else to put on. And dresses that don't have pockets. Are from an era where women are objects to be beautified. Which is funny because they don't mind being objectified but they complain about it all the time.
