I know this is an obvious question, but please answer it. Why should men not criticize women for being emotional on their period?

For one, that’s opening the flood gates of suggesting her feelings are invalid and worthy of dismissal. Truthfully, being hormonal doesn’t make a woman emotional, it just amplifies and strengthens what she already feels, meaning if your girlfriend is an angel 3 weeks out of the month, and she hates you for one? Those are closer to her genuine feelings about you, but she cares enough about you to lie during the rest of the month. Pay attention to her feelings then, if she’s angry, or cries a lot, sensitivity is normal but if she’s sad and talks about how miserable she is? That’s when you might need to realize your role in that, rather than just dismissing it and continuing with an otherwise doomed relationship.
You know how hormones work right? Chemicals in the brain?
If somebody spiked your drink with something that made you act out of your head, should you be blamed?
Same with women who are pregnant.
Because the hormone fluctuation is not something we have control over.
Because hormones can really effect mood, energy, and really everything about the body and there is little to nothing that can be done about it
