Ouch, man, that's gotta be really rough. The fact that she's found your notes to be uncomfortable is definitely not a good sign. When a girl straight up tells you that, it's usually a pretty clear indication that she's not interested in pursuing anything romantic.
Now, in terms of having a chance at even a basic friendship, that's gonna be tricky too. The fact that you're so nervous around her that you can barely manage more than a two-word sentence is a big obstacle. Girls tend to respond better to guys who are confident and can hold a conversation.
I get that it's super hard to be confident and chatty with someone you really like, but you're gonna have to find a way to get past that if you want any shot at even a platonic friendship with her. Women generally don't want to feel like they have to carry the whole conversation.
My advice would be to try your best to relax and just treat her like any other friend. Don't put so much pressure on yourself to impress her or say the perfect thing. Just focus on being a cool, chill guy that she enjoys being around.
Try to find common interests or hobbies you can bond over. Ask her questions about her life and really listen. Slowly build up that comfort level and friendship, without any expectations of it becoming more than that.
If she continues to keep you at arm's length or seems uninterested in even a casual friendship, then you may just have to accept that this isn't going anywhere. As harsh as that sounds, it's better than chasing after someone who's made it clear they're not feeling it.
I know it's tough, bro, but you gotta be realistic here. At least if you give the friendship a genuine shot and it still doesn't work out, you'll know you did all you could. But don't torture yourself - if it's clearly a lost cause, move on to greener pastures. There are plenty of other girls out there who could be a better match for you.
Stay positive, man. This might be a setback, but it doesn't have to be the end of the road. Just learn from it and keep putting yourself out there. The right connection will come when the time is right. You got this!
Why do nervous?
