1- What is the source of women's romantic expectations? What is the influence of media or movies on your romantic expectations?
Qualifier: "Girl"/"Woman"/"Lady" all have different expectations. The only thing they share in common is being female. Sources of inspiration differ based on a number of factors including who the person looks up to and admires. Some are greatly impacted by social media, movies, etc. and others aren't.
2- Do you expect your new lover to surpass your ex's romantic behavior (Of course, this is not a competition, you don't tell him openly) ?(A) Personally, no. I expect the new guy to be whoever he is. I'll learn a few things from him, he'll learn a few things from me, hopefully the positives outweigh the negatives. (B) Yes, I'll be very open with a partner about what I like or don't like. I'll also be open about whatever my past is so he isn't inevitably surprised and feeling like a chump with his dick flapping in the air. I wouldn't want to be unpleasantly surprised by my guy's exes, I extend the same courtesy to him from Day 1. No secrets. Either he's man enough to take it or he's not. Life's too short to waste on nonsense.
3- Is it a guys duty to be romantic, but how romantic are girls?
(A) "DUTY"? Man, if you start off on that note game's over before it starts.
(B) Do guys WANT a woman to be overly romantic? In my experience those are the gals a guy considers psycho/emotional. Guys tend to want sweet, soft, sexy, which comes naturally to a lady and to some girls.
4- What was the most romantic thing that was done to you?
(A) There's a short list of three things that my very first romantic interest did for me, which I've described on G@G quite a few times, so I won't repeat it again.
(B) More recently a guy chased me down after church just to try to make up when we were having a fight. We're still at an impasse, but damn if that wasn't the sweetest thing I've ever seen. He looked terrified doing it... it moved me to make a small concession... to give him a mindfulness assignment, actually. Let's see what happens.
5- What was the most romantic thing you ever did?
AAAAAH. I can't reveal ALL my secrets in one post. That's classified. The lucky guy knows what it was.
Thank you for your answers to all the items one by one.
Hope it's helpful.
1 I don't know why but this "rom com" movies must go away.. I feel like it's diluting the real passion and romance one would have
2 I don't have an ex
3 for me if a guy is being himself that itself is a romantic gesture
4 he took me out of a bad place
5 haven't done the best romantic thing, but will do it in the future
