The girl and I had been hitting it off lately, with daily WhatsApp video calls, in person we'd look each other in the eyes. At some point, she was practically throwing herself at me. All of a sudden, she claimed to have a boyfriend. When I asked her how long they'd been together, she said eight months. However, I found it funny that I spotted her on Hinge recently, and she recently posted on her birthday that she was turning another year older without a boyfriend. She mentioned being single on multiple occasions to me, but now she suddenly had a man. I don't get it.
Every time I started to pull back or ignore her, she noticed my behavior and asked if we were fighting. It was as if she was seeking reassurance or attention. This pattern happened multiple times, and it seemed like she was trying to keep me engaged or interested. I remember her posting a guy's picture on her status, and I wasn't even bothered by it. However, her first reaction was to ask if I was upset because of the status she posted.
I recently stopped talking to her out of self-respect because I believe in respecting someone's relationship

I don't know if the boyfriend is real but the fact she’s even saying that she’s quote on quote taken means she isn’t interested in you romantically. She just likes the attention you give her, and sadly if you make it obvious you are crazy over her it’s like an ego boost. Her boyfriend could be a piece of crap and you make her feel really attractive and good about herself but that’s it. Don’t fall into that anymore.
If that is your real age, this is a question you shouldn't be asking.
I'm confused now; plus maybe I'm a bit inexperienced.
