Why being a housewife is so uncool?

So basically on insta and reddit and on every other social media, you could see girls hating being housewife, I can understand that being in a toxic inlaws home can be difficult for a Housewife but like there are lot of good inlaws and all.

I am a housewife and living my life peacefully, although I have seen many girls looking like they pity me for being a housewife, I mean why so much hate? And why can't a girl chose to be housewife now? I don't understand

Some people are jealous but it really depends on the house wife. Some are loyal and very hard working. Some take care of all the indoor and even outdoor chores so their husbands don’t have to lift a finger while the woman gets to stay home.

Most these relationships don’t really work. A lot of narcissists only want what’s in it for them. A lot of cheating on both ends as well as abusive men as well wanting someone to control. When the divorce happens someone gets screwed over in the end. Either by a woman not having any financial independence and homeless. OR…. The man looses everything to a woman who never worked for any of it.

I think, as a feminist, that you have every right to choose to be a housewife and there is nothing wrong with that. Where the problem lies is when both sides (housewives/non-housewives) criticize the other for not being on their side or trying to convince the other side that they are better for choosing the life they want. We should be supporting each other and celebrating that we have the right to choose.

As for your question specifically, I think it's because it's seen as a step backwards from the progress made for women to choose to have a career and not have kids if they don't want to.

I've never really considered being a housewife/househusband as part of an "identity" or "career path". Like you can be married and have kids and stay home and still have a dream career in most cases.

Incorrect.

"Everyone is not ambitious" implies that no one is ambitious, which is false.
Now if you were to say that "not all people are anbitious", that would be true, but it would also be irrelevant, as even if they were ambitious, marriage and being a homebody is still possible while achieving ambitions in most cases (as I mentioned before).

Ambitions aren't about work.
The Irwin family runs a zoo because they love animals, not because they feel work is what makes life have value.
Artists, writers, and musicians do their jobs because they enjoy doing so.
Game developers make games because they love gaming and world building.

Dream careers are about persuing passions, not "work".

Most people get married and have kids and spend time doing household chores etc, career or not.

Its just a thing people are going to do regardless, a portion of an otherwise full life.

Broken trash wants to bring everyone around them down to their level so they don't feel like losers. A single 35 year old "independent woman" is going to be jealous of someone who has a family and made the right choices.
