Like I've grown some type of steel wall around me where I don't let people affect me anymore. I've been let down so much and hurt to many times in life. Now I just don't give a fuck anymore.

I would say women are more emotional creatures a good example of this is when you want fries and then suddenly you dont care for them anymore how does this show that well im so glad you asked there are two ways of thinking about stuff that are both good and unqiue one is an emotional consideration of it and then one is a logical way of thinking about it as i said before not all but some women are emotional based this means you prefer to think emotionally so when something happens like an argument a natural response for a woman who thinks with her emotions would be to be upset because the guy did something wrong whereas the guy would be thinking about what he did wrong and then how to fix it so i would say yes women are a little tougher because thats how they operate on a last note for any guys who post here women dont always want someone to fix a problem sometimes they just wanna be heard i can't say that will always apply but it saves me a lot with my freinds

Generalisations always beget outliers. And those outliers may be few and far between depending on your personal experience which would taint you entire perception ebcause that's what it comes down to.

So my boring opinion is some women are others are not. We aren't expected to be in society but toughness is something that you develop through life to varying degrees with stuff you deal with.

No, I don't see any evidence of that. This kind of steal wall is expected when your a guy, your supposed to just tank it. As a result for many guys this state of being is normal not the exception. Guys in general experience emotions less intense.

Men and women tend to express their feelings in different ways. However, since feelings are the ultimate subjective experience, it is impossible to know whether women are "tougher" when they feel hurt.

But your post is really not about men and women in general. You are telling us how wounded you have been and how you have develop a layer of scar tissue to separate yourself from the world. In this instance, "tougher" is not better, is it?

Tougher than men you mean? I think women are more brutal. Like a husband might think his wife is boring but he'll probably also think she's been a good wife and had my kids... it would be mean.

I think it is about the same on average by gender, feelings wise. My impression is that the average available woman by the age of 30 has had about a dozen guys tell her she is worthless.

Men, on the other hand, don't really deal with feelings in that way.

i dont think so. i think probably men are on average mentally stronger, but it's hard to say since they try hard to not show their feelings

Right now you have your guard up so you are protected. But you are closed off. That probably won't stay that way forever. If/when you drop your guard there is danger you'll get hurt again.
