I give my male homies knives when I can't think of gifts for special occasions. Will this work on women too?

You could get a keychain swiss army knife, when i got one I didn't really appreciate it at first but mine has my name on it, and inside of it there is a toothpick, a blade, scissors, a nail file, etc. and I have appreciated it over time. Other than that, a girl would probably hate getting a knife. If it's a special occassion for her like a birthday, then it would be a great idea to pay for a spa appointment or get a giftcard for one, everyone likes manicures/pedicures, facials, and massages.

But think about what it would be like if your friends that were girls got you a typical female equivalent of a knife (not all girls are uninterested in knives of course), like if they got you jewelry

well yeah, that's how I normally give gifts but sometimes I can't think of anything. When that happens I just go "fuck it; knife" for the men.

I guess you could do a visa gift card or amazon gift card so they can spend the money how they want, but I would recommend doing somethung alongside that, maybe you could cook or bake for them or plan a fun day? Give them options for plans to go to restaurants, to entertaining places, etc
