Should I trust her?

So I'm talking to a girl online since 5 months. We have deep conversations, and almost talk daily. She appears a genuinely nice and kind girl, is 2 years elder than me, and we often talk about meeting and planning to meet. We're currently 5000 miles away.

She apparently had an ex-friend who cut ties with her for reasons best known to him. She kept chasing him (She says she's lost her father at a young age, and clings on to people and things easily and is sensitive), despite his requests not to contact him. She keeps talking about how she still wants to talk to him. I am tired of explaining the situation to her.

Also, she would answer me quicker if she was in a spot of bother or required immediate attention. In the beginning, she'd send good night texts and stuff, but now she doesn't bother responding until the next day sometimes. I am confused if I should keep this connection.

I'd love your inputs. Thank you for reading and helping me out.

And he keeps ignoring her as per her. She's unable to digest the fact that he lied to her about having a girlfriend just to avoid talking to her. She didn't understand the jist of it and did it again. She told me yesterday how she wants him to be close to her. I told her that's not something that she can ever control and that he can act as per his standards.
