I don’t like it.

The man I love is very tall and strong with no stomach but he’s going through depression and is in a very low point this life. He says he just wants to die. It’s horrible. I’ve tried to help him many ways but he’s f he doesn’t make an effort to change his way of thinking then nobody else can really help him so considering my age I feel my life will pass me by. I don’t want to go dating different people because I feel that will just waste more of my time and I’ll be way old by the time I find someone else..

I have this friend who said he’s willing to make a family with me because he feels he’s also getting old and doesn’t want to miss the opportunity

I’ve known him for a number of years and he used to be attractive but he’s very fat now. Not like ginormous but yeah like those dad bods and does NOT look attractive at all

that does NOT mean I like dad bods. That’s really a turn off. It is not attractive in any way. I don’t desire him. It’s really sad for me but I think that’s my future :/

I’m still hesitant about being with him hoping that my love will come back from the depression soon so I haven’t formalized anything yet with this guy so he thought it’s because of his unappealing appearance so he said to me that I like gym guys lol which I never said, he said it himself and so he went to get a gym membership..

he still looks bad but it gives me hope that he won’t have that dad bod for long. It’s really horrible.

even at 80 I exit us both to be active and fit for our ages.

I think it's because it's more comfortable and real. My hubby is not overweight but he's just right were he's got a enough chub that I can snuggle up to. I also love hair on a mans body don't know when it became fashionable to look like a little boy

It's only the girls who don't like working out themselves and feel insecure next to a fit dude who have that view. And there are a LOT of them out there nowadays.

Sort of several reasons.

First one, a lot of women feel dad bods are more "authentic." Meaning that usually women see an incredibly muscular body as someone shallow who does nothing but work out and play sports; and in contrast a dad bod as someone with a more "well rounded" lifestyle, as in even if he does work out and play sports it's not all he does, he still enjoys to eat a big meal, he still likes to watch movies, he still likes to cuddle, etc.

Though I assume most women who prefer dad bods are relatively older. Like perhaps 30 and up. Because I imagine most guys in their early 20s or so aren't gonna have dad bods on average.

Either way, second reason... literally just body type trends. Maybe dad bods are just having a moment now. Maybe they'll be "out of style" some several years into the future. Body types go in and out of "fashion," unfortunately. It happens more with women but can happen with men as well.

I will admit though.

All this talk about women loving dad bods is making me wanna gain 100 pounds or so. And I'm not even skinny, I already weigh around 235 pounds at 5'10. And I eat a lot and barely exercise.

But all of my more successful dad bod friends at the same height that weigh around 335 pounds are pulling women like crazy, and many women have even told them they won't settle for a guy less than 300 pounds. I already barely exercise anyway, but time to triple what I already eat, lol.

You may think I'm being radical and I likely am but I'm 100% serious. And me and my friends already have almost the same personalities anyway. Women love them because they're big, they like big guys. They themselves even literally explicitly said.

A lot of women want a dad bod man, because they feel that another woman will not find him sexually attractive and there for not try to take him. Other women like a dad bod, because it looks more feminine, (less toxic masculine), and less threating enforcing their delusion that they can defend themselves from a man.

I was dating a woman a few years ago, that pitched a fit when I told her that I was going to lose weight and tone my body. She really tried to talk me out of not losing weight and getting into better shape, because she was worried that if I did other women would start becoming interested in me.

The joke was, as soon as other women realized that we where dating, they became interested. It is not the body, be you buff or dad body. When a man is single, one one is interested. As soon as he gets with someone, other women all of a sudden become interested in him.

I'm just reading other people's opinions, and it seems the general consensus is woman that are not maintaining themselves so well are simply picking them so that their lack of maintenance or inability to improve on themselves (or lack of motivation to) is not as apparent.

I guess the male equivalent would be guys that let themselves go, turning into chubby chasers? Or maybe they think the chick is less likely to cheat because he's lowering his standards for her already? ... I only bring up the male equivalent because it's sounding an awful lot like that's the case for these women.

Because females’ feel safer with them, they don’t come off as self centered assholes, they are more down to earth and humorous, , girls tend to like their personalities more , compared to a muscle head that lives in the gym that has jacked up testosterone and is more aggressive , that cares more about his appearance over anything else , Dad bods are a mixture of muscle and chubbiness , so he feels like a teddy bear to her instead of a solid rock. I use to think I had to work out like crazy to get girls’ interested in me , until I realized that wasn’t true at all , I have always been a broad type guy with a mixture of chub and muscle , so I have a dad bod and Girls’ would ask me out , when I stopped killing myself in the gym. As with anybody with a body, each can have different looks, and so do dads. They can be buff or have beer bellies, and if they play the stock market, pork bellies. So maybe you should differentiate what kind of dad bods you mean. Pics would also have been nice so you could have a poll.

Not everyone likes dad bods but we are less picky looks wise compared to men.. I usually like skinny guys who aren't super mucley because gym rats tend to be arrogant pricks/cheaters. Tho if my guy got a dad bod in the relationship that's fine because I love the person regardless. Face will always be most important to me.

But, obviously, women get attracted to all body types based on getting to know soemone, liking their personality, their niceness, loyalty, any number of character traits... but first visual attraction? Being a good dad single or not is attractive to mums that have a partner that is not a good dad so the good dad part is more important rather than the bod of the good dad ie. being a good dad is the attraction not so much the bod but correct me if you think I'm wrong I'm open to discussion

I was a very fit and muscular man in my 20's and 30's my wife wanted me more often and the sex was hard fast and over in a half an hour or less. Now in our early 40's we have parent bodies. She wants me less but when we do it its slow, passionate and she's done in 45 minutes to an hour amd I jerk off in the bathroom.
