Why did she reach out?

A girl from my early teenage years reached out like two months ago. She just started texting me (it was my bday), well i still followed her on ig so i knew she had a boyfriend. But after a couple weeks of texting she asks to see me, well try to make plans but our schedules didn’t match too well so that didn’t happen.

Then one day she asks if I am going clubbing in our hometown. Well I wasn’t that night but she really wanted me to come, the next week she asks again, still i wasn't going, and the week after again and i was going then.

And then she told me she broke up with her boyfriend 4 days ago. Did she reach out for like safety that someone might be there or did she have feelings for me? (Why would you otherwise after all those years)
