None of these answers gets to the core of the issue, some people are also in denial, but yeah in general, gen Z (especially the younger one), is less sociable and friendly compared to the other ones... They won't introduce themselves or hardly look you in the eye when they talk, are always on their phone.

A lot of it has to do with social media bull$hit and too much screen time. Their entire perception is distorted by Tiktok, tumblr and it gives them such anxiety that they can't function offline. When you grow up in front of a phone screen you don't get the chance to develop social and interpersonal skills, so they don't know how to behave in different social contexts. Add to this, the toxic culture of echo chambers, where any sort of disagreement, or constructive criticism is framed as a personal attack, plus overprotective parenting and you can understand why they act this way 🤷‍♀️

i've noticed in past customer service jobs that my generation actually behaves the best SO FAR unless its like high schoolers (they're just annoying)

i think we're just too young to compare our generation to others
