Why would a girl tell me to wait for her?

This girl who I work with, randomly asked me to wait for her when we both finished work. She wanted me to wait for her when we walk to the train station. Is there a reason she has said that, I only really met her like last week.

Probably comfort to have a guy walk with her. I’ve seen so many creepy things happen to women On both train and subway. It feels safer to have a man around.

The thing is i catch the bus and she catches the train. I just felt it was a bit random, she doesn't do that with other guys at work.

If you guys head in the same general direction that’s a plus but regardless I think it’s about safety. In this day and age us women have to be THAT vigilant.

Comfort too, she may not feel like she can ask other guys to walk with her. You could be more approachable than the other guys, or more likely to be helpful and not self serving. I have men at my job that I wouldn’t even ask to hold my seat. Others I feel better asking them anything.
