I am a shy and quiet girl, I don't get involved in drama and gossiping, and am not very popular but have a lot of freinds, and will talk to anyone who wants to talk to me. I feel that most of the guys I know at my school only go for girls that are extremely outgoing, wear loads of makeup, barely wear any clothing, and will do anything for attention. Do guys really like these kinds of girls? do they feel intimitated by girls like me because I'm too quiet? What can I do to be more outgoing and friendly?

I like shy, quiet girls who are also slutty! Pretend you are a guy for a minute. Would you pick the girl who gave you attention, flirted with you, maybe even picked up on you, or the girl who sat by and did nothing to win your affection. Its not because they think that girls body is somehow more worthwhile than your personality, it's that the guy probably get no sign that the shy quiet one is interested.

And honestly I find sluttiness to be kind of a turn on. It show that the girl doesn't have reservations about sex, they are not ashamed by that side of themselves. That and if a girl actually has enough confidence to approach me with interest in something either sexual or romantic its going to stand out and make me feel desired and wanted because usually the guy is always expected to try to make the first move.

In short; you dont have to be slutty about it. But if you want a man to see you, you approach him. This may sound obvious but how we see girls is based on how they act towards us boys. If you have a great personality than show it to him so he knows.

The thing is, lots of men like girls like you in theory, however, its impossible to know that you are like that because you are shy. So its not that they prefer women who extremely outgoing, its just that by definition these girls are making sure guys know about them and you aren't. So it's kind of a catch 22. Although yes girls who can wear the least and still act comfortable give off a certain vibe of a woman who is free in her body, which is fairly irresistible.

If you're asking personal preference though, it still depends on the girl. Generally probably the more shy one, but that's no guarantee.

To be honest, guys like girls like that because they seem easier to get into bed. Not to say all guys are like that. I prefer a nice quiet girl who's kind and caring over an under-dressed attention seeking high maintenance pain in the... Yeah. Most guys in high school aren't looking for a relationship, they just want relations. I doubt they are intimidated by you, they don't think you'll satisfy their wants.
