Do guys like shy girls or more outgoing ones?

Okay so, I can be really shy at times and it's just something I can't help, change or fix. Usually guys don't pay any attention to me at all and don't give me the time of day. But this year I met this guy, who is so easy for me to talk to and everything with him is so comfortable and I can be myself, but I still have my shy moments.

My best friend is extremely loud and a little obnoxious, but when she comes around she always seems to get everyone's attention. The guy I like doesn't always seem to pay attention to her as much as he does with me, but I feel like when she's around I'm at a disadvantage because she's louder than I am.

But when she leaves, he comes back around to me and smiles at me and holds my hands, things like that.

I'm not really sure what to think about this when this happens.

And is there anything I should do to change the way I behave when my friend comes around?

I'm absolutely not shy but I like girls who are shy.

I don't like the bossy type of girls with really big hands etc and more masculine charachteristics like that.

I like girls going through their hair etc, think it's really feminine.

I like to see girls really enjoying life the most, and also, a shy side to them is really, really attractive to me, but I will like the girl the most if she opens up with that shyness in her anyway, that's just a part of a character, and I like it, but them I'm more sorta the protective guy, not the over protective idiot type of guy, because I'd give my girl room always etc and do her things like that with respect and knowledge but I would really guard her I guess, I always pick girls who are scared etc with some things rest is just not hte type I like not femine enough I think.

So yes, I think shyness is a good thing.

If your friend comes around, being shy is no problem whatsoever, but just try to be yourself and throw your feelings out, although I'm being quite hypocrite because sometimes I'm not doing that myself because I feel worthless, but anyone has a part of shyness I think.

It's true that by being shy, you tend not to exist to people (I know from personal experience). Extroverts will always demand attention and energy from everyone around them.

Shallow guys might like this kind of thing, but most want to see substance in a person. She might put on a good show while it lasts, but he knows to come to you for the real thing. You could just ask your guy if he thinks your friend is a bit too loud. He might only tolerate her out of politeness because she is your friend. However, if you think she is deliberately flirting with him by being loud, tell her its not appropriate.

And speaking as a guy, I definitely like shy girls best. Loud girls send off all the warning signals i.e untrustworthy, attention-seeking, unintelligent, unfeminine etc.

I would say just be confident in who you are. You don't have to be outgoing to be appealing to the opposite sex, and being shy doesn't mean that your not interesting. Actually we shy girls have a lot of appeal we have that air of mystery about us. lol Which tends to draw more attention than the loudest girl in the room trust me, I've been told this on several occasions. ; ) So just be you at all times don't shrink back on account of anyone, your beautiful in your own way. And sounds like this guy is really feeling you, your fine. : )

I'm outgoing but not obnoxiously so. Most shy people that I have met have been boring and close-minded. I like extroverts because most of them seem unafraid to try things and are often what you see is what you get. I am engaging but don't force myself on people. Most of the time I have found that shy people lie a lot and I tire of them quickly. So, don't rag on outgoing people. Not all outgoing people are liars, one-dimensional and loud.

I always believe the least loud one in a group is the most interesting. Therefore the assumption can be made: shy guys prefer shy girls, extroverted guys prefer extroverted girls.

I personally favor shy girls... but, I always think they have something to hide unless they express their feelings. If you can break out of your shell, he will open up more to you too. There's no point in being shy after a while--because if you are-- he will eventually be disinterested in the awkward vibes you unconsciously give off. You need to lay everything on the table when you feel the timing is right.

There is something appealing about shy girls, but I usually don't go for them as I'm too direct in my approach, always have being. But I just don't like to play games...it's a difficult balance.
