Why would a female just not want to compliment another female?

For context, I'm at university, there's this girl that will compliment everyone but me when the chance presents itself. I'm not saying I'm desperate but there are days when I genuinely put in effort an di look good and she won't compliments me but will find a way to call to tell tiwhr girls around me they look pretty. We're kinda friends with each other and we have good talks, so I find this weird. I showed her a Pic of me when I was younger, and then she was like "you were so cute, what happened" and then laughed - tbh that's the closest I've come to a compliment from her. She will however compliment my friends all the time.

Thank you for your opinion, but I don't really know about that, she's a pretty girl. My friends are pretty aswell, a d she compliments them all the time. I prefer not to rate myself since it's always going to be up to interpretation it's just I find this behaviour quite weird

It’s my best guess. If she makes a point of subtle digs at you but compliments everyone around you, in front of you, she’s going out of her way to make you feel like shit in a way that’s just subtle enough not to be overt

Yeah but I did nothing to her and for the msot part we are friendly and we bonded, it's just she never actually compliments me, like we were talking about love lives, then she will ask my friend "have you dated anyone?" but she won't ask me anything of the sorts
