7 moAge doesn’t make a boy a man or a girl a woman.
Responsibility does.
A man is someone who can take accountability for his actions, regulate his emotions, and show up consistently not just when it’s convenient.
A woman is someone who knows herself, sets boundaries, and owns her choices instead of outsourcing them to others.
That can happen at 20, or it might never happen at 50.
Adulthood isn’t a birthday.
It’s a mindset built through self awareness, integrity, and lived experience.10 Reply

7 moThe terms 'boys, girls, men, women' are social construct and do not mean much more than semantics.
A boy becomes a man when he starts ejaculating, around ~13 and a girl becomes a woman when she has her first menstruation at around ~11
Both boys and girls become a man and woman at 18 when they can vote
But some boys become a man at 21 when they can marry
Both boys and girls become men and women when the frontal lobe cortex of their brain fully develops at around 25
So, you can see there are way too many social, legal, scientific and logical metrics. But in my opinion, you need at least 25-30 years to become an adult. People below 30 are so clueless with a lot of their because of lack of adequate experience. Most of the people don't even marry, let alone have kids in their 20s these days. Having kids totally change you as a person.

7 moIn terms of dating, I think as soon as you have a biological attraction to the opposite sex, you should be allowed to date who you want and figure things out from there. I'm sick of all this nonsense about grooming just because there's an age gap. If there's mutual attraction and consent on both sides, it shouldn't be other people's business. Too many people are sheep in society.
However, when it comes to maturity, I don't think there's a set age. Some people mature way faster than others and some mature much slower. Some never mature at all and are always stuck with a child-like mentality.10 ReplyIt depends on the person and how you define an adult.
In my country I can vote, work, have my own place to live, have kids and claim benefits at 16
I can drive at 17
I can get married, drink and smoke if I wanted to at 18
On most social media they decide you have to be 18 to be classified as adult

7 moOne thing is the physical aspect, another maturity. I think that, in general - allowing for exceptions - boys become men at an earlier age, usually 15 or 16, although they may not be mature until several years later. Girls are more mature at the same age, but may still undergo a lot of physical changes.

7 moIt's not an age. I think they become an adult man or adult woman when they have lived on their own for at least a couple of years, been completely responsible for their own life, paid all their own expenses, paid their bills and accepted it.
I have known 16 year olds that I thought of as more adult than some people in their 40s who have never taken on the responsibility of an adult.20 Reply- 838 opinions shared on Girl's Behavior topic.
7 moPuberty is traditionally when boys become men and girls become women. In today's world, that's usually around age 10 or 11, though it varies per individual.
Legally, in most places, age 18 is used as the time men and women exist, the age of reason, when they are legally responsible for their actions.

7 moAround 25 for both.
Some people think the ladies might be sooner, but not really. Women in their early 20s often have unrealistic expectations of how a woman and man should and should not be treated. They may be mature in everything else, but still prone to unnecessary drama and making a big deal out of small things until then.
For the guys, we are just straight dumbasses until then.

7 moSomewhere around 25 boys and girls become men and women. After they are out of their parent's house. After they gain a little life experience as a legal adult. After they interact with the opposite sex as a legal adult.

7 moWell that’s different for everyone. Peoples development and hormones are different. Legally it’s 18 and then 21. But many people it can be 25. Some are very mature as teenagers.
Some people never truly grow up.10 Reply
7 moThere is no age. Being an adult is a mindset. Its about holding that mindset not just bouncing in and out of it.
Its more about holding a certain amount of responsibility and respect if you ask me.10 Reply- 1K opinions shared on Girl's Behavior topic.
7 moSixteen. Or maybe eighteen. Not sure. What do you think?
11 Reply- 7 mo
I agree. 16-18 physically but closer to 25 mentally.
I think that is very variable. Being a Man or a Woman is really about attitude and confidence. Some people never reach the stage they could be called a man or a Woman.
20 ReplyMales: When they learn to take care of themselves/others, which usually means a job.
Women: I'm not away for any "achievement" for them, so I guess towards the end of puberty?

u 7 moI guess it depends on how you want to see it but, for most things... the legal age is 18
maybe it should be 25... lol20 Reply
7 moMid twenties, but you start giving them more responsibilities and testing their mettle early teens at the latest.
10 ReplyCan't really say everyone is different. I don't think i'm quite there yet , but i'm getting closer l o l
10 ReplyThe moment after puberty. By pure natural and biological sense. Some reach puberty at around 9. Others at around 11 or so.

7 moFigured it was based on milestones, not age. Boys become men after losing their virginity and girls become women after they get their first period.
10 Replydefinitely over 18, even tho lots of people dont fully mature at that age
10 ReplyBoys later than girls. Some never really grow up.

7 moThe ancients say 13;almost universally but I'd go with modern convention from pop music: Seventeen
10 Reply Physically is when they reach puberty. But emotionally and mentally will vary depending on culture and maturity.

7 moAround 17. A lot of maturity has to do with the mind and thinking.
I know 60 plus year olds that have a mind of a 15 year old which is seriously tragic.10 Reply
Anonymous(18-24)7 moPhysically I did around 12 or 13, mentally around now I think, but I don't regret having sex with older boys when I did.
