Is it wrong to be shacked up with a woman just largely for the economics?

Now I know what a lot of knee-jerk responses from women will be. I'm sponging off her. I'm not, we split everything. And I genuinely like her, but only as a friend. I prefer this to living alone, and it's more affordable with two people. I'm OK with an occasional cuddle but that's about as far as I want to go with her because I feel it promotes the wrong message. We're roommates, who happen to get along well and I genuinely like her. But how can I be certain she's feeling the same. At times she seems like she's angling for more.
