Why do women expect Old School manners & etiquette while very few of them can respond with old school manners &etiquette?

The old rules are gone in regards to manners and etiquette.

For instance when a gentleman opened a door, pulled out a chair, offered a woman a seat or stood up when a woman entered a room then the woman was supposed to graciously thank the gentleman and gave him a smile. Open a door for a woman now and they look at you like you've 3 heads, no thank you or smile.

When women lament that chivalry is dead reminf the they are who killed it.

Why do women expect Old School manners & etiquette while very few of them can respond with old school manners &etiquette?

Personally I would maybe give up a seat for a woman depending on their manners and demeanor, like if its a pregnant woman or old woman. There was a very aggressive black woman that gave me attitude last year because she was a woman, told her f*ck off.

As well I've learned as a lot of other men that you only apply chivalry to your mother, wife, girlfriend, female relatives, female in-laws, female friends, female work colleagues

Indeed.

I personally think it's because somewhere between feminism and equality the message go corrupted. Feminism was meant to empower women to seek equality, and in the beginning it did. But as the generations propagated women subverting the message. What started off as equality turned to, "you're a boss b**** and you should be in complete control". Of yourself I'll agree. But that where it ends. Women now want it all. Men never even had it all. Most men are only leaders in their own house most men have no real power and most men work jobs they don't love but do so to take care of women and children they do love. Because that is their role in society. And they accept it humbly. But along comes today's woman believes she deserves equality (which she does) but believe she's should be treated specially. That is not equality! You cannot have it both ways.

So the reality is most of today's women think now they're going to dictate to men. And they're finding out it just doesn't work that way. A woman can choose any path for HER. But that's where it ends.

And this is why there's so much gender friction today. Women today do not really understand what equality. They've had a twisted view of what a man's life is like. And for some women, they will never accept reality. And as a guy you cannot explain it to them. So you pretty much have to wait for these genders to die out. And hope that they're not birthing more women with their warped view of things.

So I'm sorry to say this is not going away anytime soon my friend.

It is not entirely dead. I do still get a thank you and a smile for doors 30% of the time.

One of the reasons I like partner dancing venues is you still get old school responses from women. If they want to partner dance then they do need a man and necessarily have to be nice to men.

I'm single and I'm very independent so to depend on someone else makes me feel weak and I hate feeling/being weak. I been this way since middle of 15 and now I'm 37 but I think most women just want to have and eat their cake at the same time.

Same reason guys expect housewives without the income to support it or the manners to make it a happy one.

The majority of women are decent humans but there is a percentage that are narcissistic. Narcissistic people want all the benefits without any of the giving or parts they don’t like. Most feminists are also wanting the man to play a traditionally masculine role they just don’t….. see what I mean.

By the way I open the door for people all the time women included and yeah once in a while they don’t say anything. Why dwell on it….. you don’t know her and if she gets offended by you being nice that’s her issue to deal with. But most the time they do say thanks or at least smile….. Doesn’t mean anything romantic necessarily just thank you. There are also women who open the door for me….. again I say thanks. It’s just being a decent person.

Otherwise yeah I treat women the same as everyone else. Respectfully and as human beings that aren’t friends family or romantic partners. That’s normal….. But I don’t go out of my way to be a dick to women either who never did anything wrong to me.

Most women are pleasant decent human beings. I don’t understand where people are that women are just complete cuntholes. Some yeah…. So are some men out there.

This has been an ongoing debate on this website for 10 years now lol. The truth is that women act feminine in response to a masculine man. The men who complain about this the most usually have a weak commanding presence in a room. Yes, culturally things in the west have changed over the years, but our evolutionary biology is still omnipresent. If a woman has a toxic feminist attitude, I just ignore them and move on.

Because Women stop getting told "No" or getting told what they cannot do after puberty and start getting told all the things they can do so from then on they think it automatically means that its okay to do it, As long as its not illegal.

For us Guys we get told our whole lives what not to do and it starts when we are younger and doesn't stop until we die.
