Well the logic is... if society tells you that you deserve to be treated and that the opposite sex needs to put in more effort and "woo" you (pay for your bills, make the first move, etc), and that's how it's been for ages then you start to feel like that's your birthright.

And once society goes through a shift for equality, you see all the benefits of that equality, but when the negatives come your way, you don't want them, comparing only the negatives to the past as it's the thing you don't want. You feel jealous of the way things were in the past and try to cling on to the positives from back then.

Have you ever met a woman who didn't have a laundry list of demands. Who didn't find SOMETHING to complain about. It's just the way Women are. They live life on easy mode. Everything is handed to them. And all that is asked is that they keep themselves relatively attractive and trim. So of course they're going to have no bearing or have any appreciation about what sacrifices have to be made so she enjoy all the perks men provide them.

Chris Rock actually did a bit about this. About a woman's expectations and how she's never going to be happy. You could give her the world. And she would say, "that's it". As I said women have no concept of sacrifice because everything is handed to them.

As for the rest, it's extremely selfish. Those traditions of men asking and men paying come from a time where women were also traditional: they prioritized marriage and family instead of careers and most were virgins on their wedding nights.

If you want equality and to abandon traditional roles and values, you can't still expect traditional benefits. It's one or the other.

MGTOW unfortunately became toxic in many ways even though it didn't have to be and could've been so much better. But honestly? I credit its philosophy for getting me my second girlfriend. It's a mixed bag, but it does make a point of "do not simp, do not bend over, do not care about rejection". My second girlfriend even if she hated that sort of group literally changed her mind about rejecting me because I simple said OK.

How else would anyone advise to go their own way? A lot of people get into it coming from bitter relationships, divorces, and overall struggle with women so it's difficult to NOT mention women at all. It could use more "self improvement" talk yes, but it's nice to be able to get out grievances about women whether pattern recognition, stories, etc. and we bond over it. Overwhelmingly male spaces are limited nowadays but this fulfills it somewhat and on a worldwide scale.

I know of men right now actually in marriages and with kids that have a few grievances listening into MGTOW ideas. Where else can he talk away from his family with men that have similar issues without somebody perhaps overhearing and causing gossip and such?

Even nowadays as I visit a guy I know with a wife and kids who has plenty of grievances, he has to be careful about where we talk. Even his own young daughter is known to repeat things so even near just her we're careful.

Of course it's much better to be wealthier if you want a better chance of staying alive. The whole "I have food and shelter" but does add a baseline level of happiness. But more than that? It's more so that he does stupid things with his wealth. Does he even have kids? Is he going to pass on his name? Or just be filled with hedonism and then die? He has all the resources to have a good family but doesn't regardless. He seems quite empty.
