Men aren’t the center of our lives, when men walk around shirtless in a heat wave they are doing so because they are hot and none says anything. I personally wear a thong every day because I don’t want underwear lines under clothes as I don’t want to draw more attention and I wear bikinis and thong bikinis sometimes to avoid big tan lines. Not everything is about appeasing the male gaze. Sometimes things are just practical or make us feel good. Why do men buy Calvin Klein underwear or spend hours in the gym building muscle? Why do they get fades, grow beards, wear fitted shirts, or expensive trainers? Looking good and feeling confident doesn’t automatically mean you’re doing it for women.
