in some places, you can even expect an endocervical speculum to be used through the vaginal one...

Oh ok lol. That never happened to me, but I’ve read descriptions in novels and they always just used their fingers. Which makes sense cause the speculum holds you open so the doctor can see inside and the cops aren’t interested in clinical observation. They just reel around to see if you have anything hidden in there. That’s my best guess at least.
