Women being attracted to other women?

Is it normal that pretty much every woman has some sort of attraction for another woman that they find nice looking? I’m not talking about oh she’s pretty. I’m talking about some sort of attraction with excitement but the difference is they don’t act on it. I’m trying to understand woman’s behavior because it’s a lot different with men

Sometimes a compliment is just a compliment. You can recognize that someone is attractive without wanting or having a desire to act on it.

I can tell you as someone that is bisexual and attracted to both sexes that it is not common among women to be attracted to other woman in a romantic or sexual way. The reason that I can comfortably say this is because I was on the dating scene and my dating life would have been a heck of a lot easier if there were tons of women throwing themselves at me. The truth is that there are actually very few and thus it was much much easier to meet guys that wanted to date versus girls that were into girls. You are not wrong that we are more comfortable around each other and likely to give compliments on physical appearance but that does not equate to wanting to jump between the sheets with each other.

I'm curious, did you being bi ruin friendships when your female friends found out? The reason I ask, is because a girl I knew in high school came out as bi a few years after we graduated and all her friends slowly disassociated from her.

Good question. I can see how that could happen. Lucky for me my friends supported me. I didn't have that happen to me.

I am sincerely happy to hear that. One of the girl's friends, was more like a sister to her. They had been best friends since graded school! I would see them out together, along with some other friends, all the time after we graduated, then I would only see the one girl always by herself, so I asked her, "Where's Barb and Jenny been"? That's when she explained the situation to me. She was like, "I never even did anything to them (as in flirtatious behavior type things). I even confided in them! They were my friends and nothing more but I guess it didn't matter." She was really upset and was second guessing whether she should have even confided in them but obviously, deep down she felt a need to. I knew her really well in school and considered her a friend, so we spent the whole night trash talking the other girls! Ha Ha

@Twodogs0525 sorry for the delay. I have a lot going on at home this year with my partner having recent surgery on her foot... again... two years in a row. She is rather needy since she can barely do anything on her own. That is a shame about the friendship of those two girls. Just because I like women does not mean that I would ever try to convince one that I know is straight to "give it a try" much less a friend. My guess is the girl that was the friend that came out as bi was naive at the time and misunderstood her friend's sexuality. Being bisexual doesn't mean that we are going to pursue any woman anymore than I would pursue any guy.

Women are not more sexually attracted to other women inherently. The difference in behavior between men and women and how they interact together has to do with socialization, not sexual attraction.

I can tell you right now that bisexuality is nowhere near as common as you and many others think. I am bisexual but very rarely meet anyone else that is bi. I have known fewer than 10 in my entire lifetime.
