Women, do random compliments from guys feel flattering or creepy?

Say you are at a store shopping and some random guy walked up to you and said you have very beautiful hair , or you have very beautiful eyes etc. do you enjoy those compliments or does it creep ya out? I know some of you get creeped outif you don’t find the guy attractive , but if he is attractive you enjoy it. Me personally isn’t that way when a random girl compliments something about me , whether I am attracted to her or not , I am still respectful and flattered that she acknowledged something about me. Because I don’t see any reason to be rude to someone for pointing out something about you that caught their eye. So are you a respectful polite person to everyone or just the attractive ones’?

I don't really like it because randomly complimenting strangers isn't a thing in my culture. It just feels weird to me. I've experienced it while traveling, some guys in vacation romance mode randomly compliment any woman just to start a conversation. I wouldn't call it creepy, but there's nothing flattering about being the 100th woman they've approached that day. A compliment means much more when it comes from the right man at the right time.

I disagree because once you see someone you are attracted to and interested in , why miss your window of opportunity with them , the chances of them running into you again is a very slim chance , so I feel it’s better to take the chance instead of taking no chance at all and going home and kicking yourself in the ass for not trying. We aren’t mind readers and we don’t have signs flashing over our heads stating what we are into and what are current relationship status is , so taking a chance is the only option we really have unless you choose to miss your window of opportunity. Yes rejection sucks but at least you have an answer over no answer at all is how I see things

A friend of mine who is an elderly man, complimented the order taker at the cash register by telling her that she was beautiful, and her hair matches her hat. This was at a fast food restaurant.

She went and told her boss and was banned from ever going there again!

I felt so sorry for him, because he's not a dirty old man type, but actually very nice.

He didn't know the new rules about talking a female in that manner. Guys, it's just not worth it! It can get you in trouble. Like walking on a landmine you didn't see!!

I'm not that way, but you never know nowadays what will happen if you compliment the wrong chick.

I don't like it, but not because I find it creepy. I just have really low self esteem when it comes to my looks so it just sounds fake when I hear it, like they are just trying to be nice. That's a me thing and I know it. I know somewhere inside that it isn't them lying, but it's hard to fight that nagging voice inside that tells me it isn't true.

This also extends to my partners who try to make me believe in myself and call me pretty, etc. So I'm and equal opportunity denier lol

It would be flattering but it has never happened.
