Also I generally know about the difference.
But I never understood how a girl interpreted it.

Trending & News With my ex, the first time he asked me out he just asked me if I wanted to go with him to the mall because he wanted to buy some new shoes and then we could go for dinner and a movie. I didn’t know if this was exactly date or not either, but it felt like one. We didn’t kiss though, just gave each other a friendly hug at the end of the day and agreed to hang out again. After some months and once our relationship had developed I asked him if our first hang out was really just us hanging out as friends or a real date and he said it was both and he just wanted to test the waters. So, some guys are like this too. Maybe they don’t want to label it as a date and want to see if there is any chemistry between each other first.
Can you read my other response to the question.
Dates are romantic. Hangouts could be friendly or could be romantic, depending on whether the girl likes you that way. Or hanging out could be code for hooking up.
I must be old age Netflix and Chill was all the rage in 2016 when I was 22. Ah well
@browsingthroughthe they’re still in. Not my thing, but people still do that.
@WhitneySnow thank you - one more supplementary Q - eye 👀 - are people still saying Bae?
@browsingthroughthe I’ve heard it before. More like people in their mid twenties than my friend group, but it’s still a thing.
Ok I am on a walk with a girl, she holds my hand.
Then is it a date?
Or if I am in a park sitting right beside her, putting flowers in her hair?
What is that?
That’s probably a date
But she rejected me when I wanted to get her as my girlfriend she refused
Then clearly she didn’t want you to put flowers in her hair. And she probably didn’t want you to hold her hand either (although some people consider hand holding a friendly gesture, I certainly don’t, not unless you’re really close friends and probably of the same gender).

Let it be, she is already gone.
I wish I never got close I loved her too much then she deserves and me stepping on the boundaries.
I did the worst thing.

A hangout is low-stakes and comfortable; a date implies interest, effort, and a willingness to risk rejection. In other words, have some balls or stay home.
Basically you just meet with your Bro Girl, Friends and nothing ever comes of It
