That is pretty hard to do as I hate giving out my number to anyone. I'd be more apt to giving out my discord tag or some other social media i might be on. If you are at my phone number phase then we are pretty far into our friendship by that point.

To get my discord or whatever, then just be normal and have some conversations with me that aren't weird or overly sexual. Funny works best.

Depends on the context. We're classmates in University? He has an easy excuse.

He's a random stranger at the bus stop? Well... he should be able to gain my trust, talk to me at least once for a few minutes and then ask.

Talk to us for a reasonable amount of time and show an interest in us while letting us know about you. Asking for the number is the last thing you do not the first.
