Do women act more aloof towards attractive men?

Is this phenomena often times true.. Is there anything behind this observation? -If it is true, what do women hope to accomplish by doing this?

sure, I mean I'm a nervous person in general so if I find a guy attractive I try not to let my feelings show. Why? Well

1. due to fear of him thinking I like him (I don't know why but I dislike showing emotions that make me feel vulnerable)

2. fear of rejection

3. I assume that all the hot guys are taken. If they're not taken, there's probably a reason for that (they know they're attractive, many girls are on their d*** and they just become players.) In other words, I fear they may be trouble. : /

not everyone finds people who act aloof or distant more attractive. for some it makes you want the other person more and for others its a total turn off. you see when someon does this the act is only trying to accmplish a sense of abandonment or fear of rejection in the other person. and if this person has this fear of abandonment or rejection it acts like a vacuum on their actions making everything about you slowly drawing them into you so that they would no longer have the fear.

umm not generally attractive men.. but moreso if my crush is really attractive I'd be more nervous and anxious around.. I do notice them a lot more then unattractive guy.. idk.. I don't have many super attractive guy friends in life so I can't say if in general I get more aloof.

Attractive men don't have the same effect on women as attractive women do on men if we're talking about just the obvious physical. There is some overlap but it's not the same ratio by a long shot. Women are more attracted to success and popularity than physical attractiveness, then there's the stuff about charm and kindness, which may or may not be true.

I act the same way around guys I am attracted to and guys I am not attracted to--friendly and somewhat distant. I am terrible at showing my feelings to a guy because by doing so I make myself vulnerable. I guess this is what has caused me to have so little romantic experience.

When it comes to really good looking guys I am probably a little more aloof, not to be mean to the guy, but I don't want to be rejected. or have him assume I'm one of the many girls on his jock and brush me off

yeah, I think that happens when people get nervous. they kind of shut down and try to play it cool, which comes across as aloof.

Yes because I assume they're cocky as in my experience most of them are.
