Why am I 33 and still single?

Question

I am 33 and still single.

People have said that I am attractive. I also have a good job and am renting my own place in the City. I have my **** together.

I don't have any kids either and barely any emotional baggage.

Just don't understand it...

The only guys I seem to meet lately end up turning out to be d***heads. The last guy I went out with I met through friends and he turned out to be a ******** as well. Even when our friends assured me he was not.

The whole is just frustrating. Where are all the normal nice guys?

Any idea on where to meet these kind?

By the way I am not over weight. Not in the slightest. Just putting that out there. LoL.

You are nice and nice isn't challenging. With a nice person they don't invest in time and effort. Hence, they don't perceive you as a high value woman. Your work is for you. It doesn't intimidate a man and it doesn't attract a man either. Men are equally attracted to financially strong women and financially weak women. They measure how easily they can get into your knickers, what sort of rapport they have with you, the feel good feeling they get when they are around you, your confidence to wave them goodbye if they mistreat you and how desirable you are in the eyes of other men ie if there are more people seeing you as a prize. You lose because after you established you are in the relationship you don't challenge him. He gave you the title and that's all he needed to do to keep you only to himself. It should be a constant investment process for him. If ge stops then you are gone.
All men are assholes when they don't feel they really want that woman. Men who party a lot are assholes, men who stay a lot at home are assholes, men who do sports are assholes, unattractive-slobs-who-never-dated-anyone are assholes if they don't feel you are their match. Where you meet a man doesn't matter. A good social circle is good because it raises your chances to meet similar people to you. It's not though the end all and being all. As long as you have a good constant supply of people you ll find someone. Just don't put all your eggs in one basket because he called you his girlfriend. He won't do that for you either... even if he is the unattractive slob that noone wants to date.
Do a reality check and ask yourself do i think i m the love of his life? Does he behave like i m the love of his life and gradually tries to invest more in the relationship? If not then you are still single.
Knowing all of these go out and find your prince charming. Talk to everyone around you anywhere you are. Go out. It doesn't matter where just go out. Try online dating. Be a social butterfly. Most important have a group of at least 3 female friends. You need them and tgey need you. They are your strength and your support.

being over weight doesn't prevent you from finding love. Of course if filters out the type of dude you can get, but usually the type of guys that those girls pull are the sweetest and nicest guys that are out there. Are you shy? maybe being quiet can prevent opportunities of finding someone decent.

Or maybe all the guys you find happen to be jerks because you judge based of off appearance rather than personality, and the guys who care more about their appearance are more enveloped in themselves and self centered. Which usually means they are a**holes. Go out and enjoy your life. Don't wake up in the morning thinking why am I still single. Just go out. smile. laugh. hangout with a bunch of friends. Spread your love. Eventually someone will come around and you will catch his eye. Love happens when you least expect it, so if your constantly thinking about finding someone then you won't. You can't exactly force an amazing thing to happen.

Guys can tell when a woman is equipped to see through their games and sh*t and that scares them away. They generally want easy, no strings fun so they go for socially inept girls that need approval and attention (usually a lot younger and inexperienced) - clearly you do not need these things. I used to have this problem, I would out-wit and out-sex them to the point they didn't know how to deal with me, until I met my current partner. Keep at it, you'll land a decent one eventually 'til then don't compromise on what you have to offer. A real confident, together man will see and recognise that as a good thing - they DO exist! ;0)

NB: weight has nothing to do with it, confidence is the key to attracting a mate.

"People have said that I am attractive" --> my mother tells me that I'm attractive, and girls that put guys in the friend-zone tell them "I would love to date someone just like you, but not you." That doesn't mean much.

"I also have a good job" --> Define "good job." $100,000+ / year? Are you a stripper? A p*rn star? What makes your job "good" from a guy's perspective?

"barely any emotional baggage" --> "barely" any? As in, "some" or "not none"? I would let the nice guys be the judge of just how much emotional baggage surrounding men/love/relationships/sex/family/marriage/insecurities you have.

"Where are all the normal nice guys?" --> They're in the "friend-zone," where you left them. Maybe one of your "barely" emotional baggage issues is that you live life under the assumption that MOST men are d*ckheads, and nice guys are very hard to come by. You do this by ignoring most men and automatically disqualifying them as potential relationships, when in reality, MOST men are nice guys, but the LIMITED SAMPLE of men YOU CHOOSE turn out to be d*ckheads. Is the problem with men, or in your selection method?

your in your prime I know a lot of guys see an attractive woman and figure that a girl that looks like her has to have a lover already and do not even try or they say she is out of your range.

so they look but do not try already gave up. and the only guys that seem to go after these kinda woman are guys that are Dogs and will try any woman married or not that's why you get all the B-heads cuss nice guys are to damn nice. I consider myself to be a nice guy and I know guys who are nice guys but they do not really go out any where maybe the super market laundry mat

most nice guys I know do not like going to bars. so where to meet them you just have to be in the right place at the right time. all the rest of the guys I know are just Dogs and will mess around with any guys woman behind there backs and try to screw every woman they can really sad how a lot of guys are and it gives all the rest a bad rap. I meet women and they already have baggage thinking that I am another guy that will cheat on them and go do all there girlfriends. and there famous words are you guys are all the same, with that attitude you already lost. go to a super market and look for a guy shopping for him self buying TV dinners and such and go and make a reason to talk to him that is your best bet or a park or through friends even tho it did not work last time. To put it succinctly, there is a dearth of decent guys out there. Sad, but true if you're a woman in this society. I've spoken to beautiful, educated and successful women in their 30's, and they can't find find a guy with a history of steady employment or one who doesn't play video games 5 hours a day. And the guys are in their 30's!

And the guys who seem to be where they should be at 30, only want a quickie.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but it's not getting better any time soon.

Well it's possible that guys are just intimidated by you. Some men don't like women who are more successful or smarter than they are. Also maybe those guys you met think that women are attracted to jerks, which is only true for younger women. Don't worry too much though, I've seen plenty of successful and nice guys who are in their 30s yet still single. You can always try a matchmaking program or you can try some clubs with older audiences

2. Where do you meet guys? (Not counting ones that friends have set you up with.)

3. What are you standards for men (besides not being jerks)?

There are 3 reasons why a woman is single

1) Too Ugly for anybody to look at you and say I like you, like a deformity or motilation or something waay out of the ordinary.

2) Too picky and is waiting for Orlandpo Bloom to sweep her off her feet.

3) Plays too hard to get, because she is too insecured to make her move as well.

I doubt is number 1, even ugly ass chicks get men hitting on them too.

If you don't get up and go out, how are you supposed to meet anybody? Having a 9-5 job allows you to go to work and come home and then your weekends I bet aren't filled with much activities. I think you can either try a dating site or go out and meet new people (there is this one site called eventandadventures.com where you can actually go out and do stuff with other singles.) There is a fee but you're working so it should be fine, right?

Well do you have a big social circle?  because the majority of relationships begin through friends. If you don't have that many friends its gonna be hard to meet people. Another place to meet someone is through work or school, are you around a lot of men? If no, it's gonna be hard to meet someone. Also try going out to bars/clubs and going to work out at a local gym, you are bound to meet someone... good luck!

2 The good job may put some off because you do not need to be saved or knighted
