Why do I act so different around guys ?

why do I act differently when I'm around guys then when I'm with my girls. I'm so quiet and shy around guys and when I'm with my girls I'm loud and heaps talkative.

That's common.

I think it happens more to guys, but I've met a few girls who're like this too.

It's just like anything else, practice and you'll get over it. I was shy around strangers growing up, but now I don't even notice anymore.

Most likely you think too hard about saying the "right" thing in those situations. The key is to get out of your own way and talk just like it was with your neighbor.

It's weird, but a good way to do this is to think that you DON'T care and can walkaway from that guy without being disappointed. It will help you avoid putting them on a pedestal and see them as just another person and not "that cute guy" who gives you butterflies.

You are nervous regarding the oposite sex. I am curious, did you not have guy friends growing up? Like even in elementary school etc

That is probably the reason why. My social circle comprised of both guys and girls from a very early age (kindergarten).

i just didn't like to hang with guys I used to call them all gay in elementary
