Where are the "good girls"?

Question

So, what I really want to know right now, is where are the good girls. The kind of girl that doesn't drink, doesn't date guys all the time/sleep around, that kind of girl.

I'm a shy guy who can't stand the thought of having a relationship with a girl whom gets into relationships quickly or used to sleep around a lot, it makes me feel like I can't trust her, and I also don't like the "had sex with everyone" thought.

And also, because I want to find girls (to either date or hangout with) that don't drink, I know I won't find any at bars or anything like that. so.. Where are all the good girls?

I think I must have read this wrong, you actually want a girl who doesn't drink or get's

into relationship fast and who also doesn't sleep around. Wow and here I thought

my kind wasn't wanted! Just so you know I'm a good girl that doesn't drink or do any

of that other stuff and I'm also shy. Anywho, I think good girls are around, but they get

over looked. Especially if there shy, because people would rather assume they are mean

or arrogant then actually talk to them to see if it's even true.

So I think you should just do what you do and go where ever it is that you go and just

keep your mind and eyes open for the good girl. I know this sounds stupid, but have

you ever tried going to the grocery store and finding one there? I ask because, I

for the longest time had a crush on this cashier who worked at the grocery store, he

was so cute and seemed shy. Are eyes meet at least three times and I felt this connection

towards him, so I decided a couple of months ago to write him a note and take it to the store.

Unfortunately he wasn't there, not only that but he quit. So I left the note there with somebody

who works there and they said they'd put it with his last pay check. Anyway even though

he didn't respond I'm glad I took my chance. My point is maybe you can find someone

at your local grocery store who's worth taking a chance on, it's just suggustion.

Idk, try looking in churches and stuff? Even there you're gonna have a hard time finding anyone who doesn't drink. And sometimes religious girls are the craziest ones O.o

I would never actually call myself a "good girl" and I'm not at all as conservative as you're looking for, but I don't do drugs, and at this point I haven't slept around or anything. I just started drinking this year but I don't get drunk. I decided it didn't make much rational sense to not drink at all and I wanted to try alcohol, so I did. It's okay, not nearly as great as everyone makes it out to be. I like naked drinks better.

Either way I'm not attracted to conservative men anyway, so I'm definitely not who you're looking for. However, I've met some really conservative, religious chicks who you could probably get down with. I know a girl in my school who is determined to be abstinent and won't even make out with her boyfriend for too long in public, to avoid temptation. she doesn't drink or do drugs. I've known a few girls like that. You could look into the straight edge scene. This is kind of what theyre all about. Do you socialize much? I know people at school who are like this. Maybe you just don't socialize with people who have likeness to the girls you're attracted to, which is ironic imo but I don't know do you.

There's no one place where these girls flock together, like has already been said, they're everywhere (that's not to say that there are hundreds of nice girls, because like true nice guys, there's hardly any).

So I'll give you some pointers to finding your dream girl.

First of all, you need to be able to pick out a decent person in a crowd of a**holes. Decent people are rarely loud, obnoxious or arrogant because they have morals and standards. I'd suggest paying attention to the girl who seems to carry herself with dignity and treats others the same. A tell tale sign would be how she looks at people. Even when meeting someone new, the expression in her eyes and would be sincere and genuine.

This is pretty much the only advice I can give you about meeting a decent girl. Whether or not she drinks, along with her sexual history, you can only find out after taking the time to get to know her a bit.

Like I mentioned before, there's no special meeting place where all these girls hang out. They're out there in the real world, living their lives. They could be working anywhere, studying or travelling, it's up to you to notice them when they pass by.

In all honesty, a lot of these girls really are volunteering at different places, at animal shelters, old folks homes, etc. As for you being shy, I've found that even the quiet girls like a strong, confident man, so work on yourself and being more outspoken. Don't turn into one of those douchebags who talks super loud and makes a fool of himself just to get girls attention, but when you do approach a girl, learn to approach with solid confidence and a strong voice.

Right here! I don't like drinking/getting drunk, I have done that one time in my life and hated every second of it (never again). I am more the European single glass of wine with dinner for the flavor and health benefits type. I don't like bars. Never smoked or touched a drug in my entire life and have utterly no desire to do so.

I have had only one boyfriend (real one--that lasted more than two weeks) because the rest did not match up to my standards in some way. I am not a virgin, but I have been with three guys (only one time each and not all the way every time--that is only 2/3), haven't had sex in over a year because I don't feel like having sex with a stranger, and I am more than picky with my boyfriends.

I am also kind of shy & believe that playing with legos, playing a video game, jumping rope, going on a bike ride, coloring, roasting marshmallows, roller skating, eating pizza, watching movies, reading a million books are all WAY more fun than going out to any trashy dance club will ever be.

Well, I don't know everything but I guess I would just say, be more patient. She could be around the corner, before you know it.. Sometimes, it takes us forever to meet that special person, our perfect match. But, I tell you, it would be worth it.. I may not have found yet "my good guy", but I'm confident that he'll knock on my door in a heartbeat. He'll sweep of my feet and will make me realize that "good/nice guy" labels (base on drinking and sexlife) isn't really that so important, what's most important is the quality and strength of his personality in "overall", how he will see life through my eyes [and I will do the same], how he respects you and himself, and most likely he's the person who has a heart that desires to be a better individual [because of you, for himself], no matter how bad he has been.

In anyhow, I understand you. Waiting sucks, it really is. Just stress it out a bit, but make sure the way you feel now about that deep desire to find the right girl will help you to be more patient, and can guide you to where she really is. Before you know it, she's beside you already.

I think you have a pretty narrow spectrum of what a good girl is.

I drink regularly but responsibly.

I have had my fair share of relationships, hookups, one night stands. I can be in very serious relationships but I can also have fun and let loose.

I have never cheated and never plan to cheat.

I am a pretty damn good girl:

I take care of the elderly for a living and treat them like my grandparents. I love them and help them do all the things they need to do- eat, bathe, clean or even just keep them company.

I am a faithful person who never has and never will cheat on their significant other.

When I am in love with someone I am incredibly devoted to them and love doing small things for them,

I think your search for "good girls" is an incredibly narrow one and you will only make it hard on yourself keeping your search so harrow.

You seem to have described me as well. But the problem with us girls is that we get discouraged. Take me for example. I've been very careful about who I date, and so, though I'm 18, I've only dated three guys (that's not excessive, right?). and I haven't slept with any of them. Two of them broke up with me because the relationship "wasn't moving fast enough". The third stayed for a while but then we mutually broke up over personal reasons.

So basically, I feel you. I feel the same way about guys. Where are the good guys, the guys who don't just want sex, who want a genuine, meaningful relationship? I don't know. I think there needs to be a meeting place for "good" guys and girls to meet each other in, haha.

So, the answer is everywhere. They're all the places the "bad" girls are, sometimes the parties too- they maybe just don't make a habit of them.

Its not a matter of knowing where they are, as re-tuning what you're looking for.

They aren't the ones who are throwing themselves out there at every turn, they aren't commanding your attention, so you've got to look to the sides for them.

Make a list of what you consider a "good girl" and consider where you would find such a specimen. You don't want a person who frequents bars, etc., so you should avoid those places altogether (for the purposes of this search). Try a group affiliated with your place of worship. While this does not GUARANTEE that the girls you find there are "good" (in the sense that you mean), it's a good place to start.

If there are older women who you consider "good girls," ask them about their hobbies and interests (and where they go to pursue them), and you'll be most likely to find like-minded women who you would consider eligible prospective mates.

I drink and smoke and I have had sex with two people, because right know I want to live free and experiment, however I am not a "bad" girl. I try my hardest to do nice things for people; the other day I was running and I helped a kid pick her bike up because it was stuck on a root without even thinking about it first (not trying to sound concieted). I volunteer about 4 hours a week at an animal shelter, and I run track for my school and I am in all advanced classes and take the most rigorous program my school offers. When I choose to be in a steady relationship, I will devote myself to that person and stay faithful and loving or at least respectful until the end. I know girls who don't drink or smoke, yet that doesn't make them nice people! Broaden your spectrum :)

The thing there are the girls we don't usually notice because they don't like the attention. They're not necessarily shy but they're introvert and tend to have few friends. I'm a good girl. Self-proclaimed and told by many that that's what I am. I'm 19 and I've never had a drink or partied and I'm a virgin.

If you want to find a good girl, we do still exist. The girls I know who are genuinely good, including myself, are always the ones guys say are "cute." We're not loud and outgoing. We mostly just keep to ourselves. I don't know about other good girls, but I'm pretty cautious when it comes to meeting guys. So, if a girl wants to take the time to get to know you as a friend before anything else, then she's probably a good girl. So, you just have to have faith that you can find one. Maybe the reason why us good girls aren't that easy to find is because we (or at least I) have the tendency to become shy, so we're usually on the background while the more assertive girls are under the limelight. We're also pretty introverted, so we're not usually the ones you can meet at parties, and we're not the ones who will initiate conversations. You're more likely to find a good girl in a coffee shop with her friends or browsing through bookstores.:)

The best way to meet them is through friends and family.  Many of them aren't actively searching for people in the "meat market" aka bar scene.  So they're out doing things for the people they care about, going to school, voluneering, doing their hobbies, etc.  So, do your hobbies and tell friends and family what kind of girl you're looking for.
